  8. 8. What is the Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP)? VARIETIES : In-service training, assistantships, mobility, partnerships, workshops, multilateral projects, transversal programmes and study visits.

What is an In-service training Comenius grant? <ul><li>The objective is to help participants to improve their practical skills and gain understanding of school education in Europe. </li></ul><ul><li>For pre-school, primary, secondary and professional teachers. </li></ul><ul><li>It may last between 1 and 6 weeks. </li></ul><ul><li>The course can be chosen from the online database Comenius-Grundtvig training activities. </li></ul>http://ec.europa.eu/education/trainingdatabase/search.cfm

How to apply for a Comenius grant? <ul><li>Register at the conference in the Cefire Godella. </li></ul><ul><li>Choose a course from the database and send an e-mail to the institution to do a pre-inscription. </li></ul><ul><li>Fill in the application form online in the National Agency: https:// www.mepsyd.es / socrates / acceso.jsp </li></ul><ul><li>Print twice, sign using a blue pen, ask for your headteacher’s signature and send the following documents to Conselleria: </li></ul><ul><li>1) Two copies of the application form. </li></ul><ul><li>2) Accreditation of your linguistic competence. </li></ul><ul><li>3) Information of the course (from the database and the preinscription) </li></ul><ul><li>4) Certifications issued by your headteacher. </li></ul><ul><li>Then, wait till the end of May. When you receive the notification, send a message to the institution to confirm the inscription and choose the accommodation (with a host family or self-catering accommodation). </li></ul><ul><li>Book your flights and pay the course fees by bank transfer. </li></ul><ul><li>When you return home, you will have to write an online report and send it to your National Agency. </li></ul>

Conclusions… <ul><li>It is an excellent learning experience! </li></ul><ul><li>As a student, you improve your language skills, you learn practical ideas for your classes and you become into contact with other European teachers. </li></ul><ul><li>As a tourist, you make wonderful guided tours (included in the course) and during these two weeks you have the chance of knowing not only the tourist places but the life of the city. Classes finish in the afternoon and you have the rest of the day to be with your family or to go out with your partners. </li></ul>
