History 202 Final Report
During the course, History 202, there were information and skills gained from the course. I learned
information and skills that I did not know before the course. My expectations from the course were met
and helped me polish my writing skills. This course was what I anticipated it to be and the work given
was useful. The most important things that I learned were primary and secondary sources. A primary
source is a source such as a document or picture that was created at that time. A secondary source is a
source that someone research and obtain information from the original piece; an example is an article
written by someone on that topic. Furthermore, I learned how to manage my time better and not
procrastinate. Not only was I able to acquire skills and information in history, I was able to develop my
time management skill. In any course, there would be obstacles and challenges, but it's all about how
you resolve them. One of the objectives that I had for this course was completing all of my work on
time. My expectation for myself is to aim for nothing lower than a 'B' grade point for any of my
assignments. However, I still had to do the same thing for my other class that I am currently taking as
well. The way that I manage to balance working full time and doing online classes were setting days for
each class. I would also take my homework with me ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The information that I was taught in this course helps me to understand the reason why people and
society act the way they do. It also shows how society has changed. As far as the world goes, it will
always change because history is made every day. However, with the course itself, I would not change
anything. The reason for that is because it was not too much work at one time and it was spread
reasonably. The homework that was given was relevant to the text. This course was full of valuable
information that can change our outlook on the

c. Class Participation: Students are expected to attend all classes and participate in classroom
discussions. Overall grades could be improved by consistent classroom participation.
d. Assignments: Submit your assignment on time. If you fail to submit your assignment on time, the
highest grade you can have for that particular assignment is a "B". You will get an "F" if you fail to
submit that assignment for the second time.
e. Academic Dishonesty: Academic dishonesty will not be tolerated; it will result in failure of the class
or the relevant assignment. Do not present other peoples work as your own except your team
assignment. I consider resubmitting previously written projects, or signing the attendance sheet for
another student to be an academic dishonesty.
f. Grading Policy: The final grade for the course will depend upon the student performance on all
required activities narrated in the evaluation procedures. The following scale will be used to record

Physics Final Lab Report
1. How well does the appearance and solubility, of iodine and zinc respectively compare with
information presented in the CRC handbook of chemistry and Physics? Our results for the appearance
and solubility of iodine and zinc were very similar to the results given on the table. The only thing that
was different was the result for Mineral oil. Because the table only states the solubility of Glycerin we
don't know if the results we got for Mineral oil would match up with the handbook results. 2. What is the
graphical (graph shape), mathematical (equation of the graph) and numerical (value of slope and y–
intercept) relationship between the mass of a piece of zinc and the volume of space it occupies? Graph:
straight and rising Equation: y = ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The slope is the density of zinc and the graph depicts that density by using the equation to make a linear
shape. Post Lab Questions: 1. a. Zinc shot was used to determine density instead of granular zinc
because the small granules of zinc traps air bubbles while zinc shot does not. Knowing this, will the
measured volume of zinc in the form of granules be greater or smaller? Greater because of added air
bubbles taking up more space. b. Will the density of zinc using the granules be greater or smaller? The
density will be smaller because the air bubbles cause the volume to be incorrectly larger while not
changing the mass (around 10 grams). The large volume then causes the density to be smaller when it's
plugged into the equation (D=M/V) 2. a. What does the slope of the line signify in the graph that you
plotted? The slope signifies the density of the zinc. This is because Rise/Run = Mass/Volume in the
graph b. Comment on your y–intercept. The y–intercept is the mass of zinc when there is a volume of
zero. 3. Here is a multiple–choice question. Choose one or more of the following statements that is

Cmsc 202 Final Report
CMSC 202 as a class is structured fairly differently from most other classes in terms of workload,
attention to detail, and restrictions. The workload in the course defined by the syllabus is very simple,
but very different for most classes. There are only 3 real components to our grades in the course, weekly
labs, projects, and tests(1). Unlike most courses in STEM disciplines, there is no homework at all in this
course aside from the projects which are done at home. Each project is given with a two–week deadline
and is designed to take a fair amount of time over those two weeks. Due to the abrasive nature of coding,
grading is results based but with multiple ways of solving the same problem, optimization is key in
many projects. Making sure the program can only have so much damage done to it after a user interacts
with it and stopping the invalid use of the program is imperative even for us students because of the ...

Reflecting on my own learning, I learn how to code mostly by trial and error rather than learning
through theory. Learning by trial–and–error is more favored for computer science because everything
that is learned can be applied in a nearly infinite amount of ways to solve a problem. On the other hand,
when one learns by theory they will grasp the concept better, but in a single situation and struggle to
apply the knowledge to other situations. However, theory–learning has its place, especially when trial–
and–error solving is not an option and having the correct invariances on the first try is necessary. For
example, when drawing a diagram of a structure, there is no way to test if the structure is correct, the
assumption is that the theory is correct. The ability to switch between these two styles of thinking are
important for understanding an idea both conceptually and experimentally when

Developing Applications Algorithms For Various Projects
Due to my previous experience working in developing optimized algorithms for various projects, I was
invited by my supervisor to join a large and challenging project to help a fast growing health care
company adapt to new working environment and develop a functional billing process. Fortunately,
during my college, I had courses and trainings that gave me the foundation to identify workplaces and
optimized algorithms for each one. Combined with years of experience, I was ready to show my
engineering skills in a large and challenging project. I attended multiple meetings with my supervisor
and other team members and we talked and brainstormed about this project for days. CE3.6 The first
step in this project was accurate data collection and I was responsible to observe the current process of
operation and gather as much data as possible that helps the team to develop the working processes for
smooth and optimized operation. In the first step, I introduced myself to the client's staff and explained
that I need to have access to certain data and operation procedures to get an accurate understating about
the current status of the company. It was a challenging step, because the data I required from the
company was often mixed with patient's data that made it impossible to share with third party. Therefore,
I decided that I would visit the company in operation and collect the data in person. Upon my visit, I
noticed the billing process and coding involves many parties including

Final Gifts Book Report
The book Final Gifts is one of the most fascinating and important books I have ever read. This is a must
read for anyone with a loved one with an "impending death" disease (such as cancer). It not only helped
me go through my cousin last days with grace and ease but changed my outlook on dying. I am no
longer afraid of death. It sounds morbid, but this book helped me enjoy the process of watching a loved
one die because I did not feel helpless. It has enabled me to be comfortable with the course of killing and
embrace each step. It also allowed me to comfort the person that is dying and the conversations that will
evolve because of their awareness.
Precious memories for you are comforting to the individual who's dying. It's about the journey of death.
This insightful book was written by two hospice nurses, Maggie Callanan and Patricia Kelley, who
introduce us to the unique way people communicate their imminent deaths. Usually, in symbolic
language, the dying will tell us when their time is near, or some will ask for help to facilitate a peaceful
journey. According to Callanan and Kelley, the most common way for the dying to explain the onset of
death is to talk about taking a trip, like my dad did. They understand what's happening to ... Show more

Final Lab Report Examples
For the final lab activity, I randomly selected a test tube containing an unknown bacterial microorganism
#8 which was in liquid broth form. The purpose of this lab is to utilize an assortment of lab techniques
that we have learned throughout the semester and understand how the differences in results could help us
in the identification process of an unknown bacteria. The case study corresponding with my unknown is
an 86–year–old male nursing home patient who has been suffering from fever, chills, and bladder pain,
associated with use of a catheter. To achieve accurate test results, proper techniques need to be done
thoroughly and carefully. By forgetting to do something as simple as flaming a loop or needle before and
after each use may lead to false results and conclusions. It is critical to perform other tests to confirm
previous results even if all the steps were performed correctly.
Once the unknown bacteria grew on nutrient agar, I observed convex, undulated, punctiform, creamy,

has a peritrichous flagella which makes it extremely motile. It is an opportunistic pathogen in humans
and resides in the intestinal tract of humans and animals. The reservoir is in contaminated water, soil,
and the colon. I was a bit skeptical in my results at first because I felt like the process went a little too

not only have I polished my knowledge on concepts I already covered in high school, but I have learned
many new concepts of writing as well. All of these learning aspects of this course are credited to making
me an improved writer. At the beginning of the year, we were asked to identify our weaknesses as well
as strengths. One of the elements of writing that I realized I struggled with was analyzing text. Prompt

Final Project Report on Tourism
CHAPTER – 1
INTRODUCTION
INTRODUCTION
The Travel and Tourism industry is still one of the largest single businesses in world commerce and its
importance is widely recognized. The tourism industry is now one of the largest sectors earning foreign
exchange. In the face of many benefits, many countries have started assigning due weight age to the
tourism industry in their national development agenda. Tourism is an industry that operates on a
massively broad scale: it embraces activities ranging from the smallest sea–side hotel; to air–lines,
multi–national hotel chains and major international tour operators. Originally, non–traditional industries
such as tourism emerged as a solution to strike a balance between ecology and industry ... Show more

MEDICAL TOURS
Medical tourism (also called medical travel, health tourism or global healthcare) is a term initially
coined by travel agencies and the mass media to describe the rapidly–growing practice of travelling
across international borders to obtain health care. It also refers pejoratively to the practice of healthcare
providers travelling internationally to deliver healthcare. With world travel market having undergone
significant changes over the last few years a new type of tourist has emerged known as the Free
Independent Traveler or Tourist (FIT). The definition is broad but tends to refer to people over 35, often,
though not necessarily, of above average income who like to travel in small groups, usually couples.
They eschew mass tourism and the holiday package concept promoted by Travel operators, in favour of
a more individualistic approach to travel. There are two implications to the idea of the Free Independent
Traveler. One is important in the context of a marketing niche with a distinct economic behavior whilst
the other concentrates more on the philosophy of travel. This distinction can be summarized in how they
are described. For the economic importance of tourism and for marketing purposes they are Free

COMPOSITION OF POTASSIUM CHLORIDE
ABSTRACT The aim of the experiment was to look for the percentage composition of the elements
present in the decomposition of potassium chlorate (KClO3) and to find out what the residue after
heating was. After performing the experiment the researchers found out that there were about 66.14% of
potassium chloride (KCl) in KClO3, and they also deducted that the residue was actually KCl.

They heated it for another 10 minutes, that time adding a little bit of distance between the flame and
crucible bottom. They allowed the crucible to cool for about 10 minutes. Then they reweighed the
sample for 6 more minutes, cooled it and then weighed it again.
In the second part of the experiment, they took 3 test tubes, one containing a small amount of potassium
chloride, one with a like amount of potassium chlorate, and one that contained a solution obtained from
adding distilled water to the crucible, that was used in the first part of the experiment, and heated it for
about a minute, and then they added 10 ml of distilled water to each and stirred. In each of the tubes,
they added 5 drops of dilute (6 M) nitric acid and 5 drops of 0.1 M silver nitrate solution, then stirred
each test tube and observed carefully.
Results and Discussion
On the first part of the experiment, the researchers started off with the crucible with the sample that
weighed 37.184 g., after the first heating, the mass decreased and became 37.093 g., after the second
heating, the mass decreased again and became 36.787 g., the difference between the two wasn't less than
0.05 g., so they had to reheat. After the third heating, the weight became 36.779 g., their difference was
within 0.05 g. so no more heating is required.
After calculating, the researchers found out that the theoretical percentage of oxygen in KClO3 is
39.17% and that the experimental

The Importance Of Team Dynamics And Communication
Throughout my semester in SciTech, perhaps the most important thing that I took away from my
experience was the importance of team dynamics and communication in collaborative projects, and this
is particularly true in engineering fields, where it is absolutely essential to success, and, in my opinion,
significantly more important than the skill of knowledge of individual team members after a certain
point. Every team that I was part of during SciTech, the team for the semester challenge especially, had
numerous issues in cooperation and communication, and conflict repeatedly arises, though we eventually
learned how best to function together and were able to successfully complete the challenge before D4
with a significant amount of time to spare, though we did have some issues with time management in
regard to the Final Report later. I have found that, although relevant skills to the task at hand, proficiency
with SolidWorks or a general aptitude for mechanical engineering for example, organizational abilities,
or other things of that nature, these are effectively useless without a developer work ethic, a willingness
to accept feedback and learn, the ability to effectively resolve disputes, and good communication, all of
which are immensely valuable in a collaborative setting. For example, one of my group members spent
more than a week on the quantitative analysis section of the FDR, but I ended up having to redo large
portions of it anyway (logbook 3/23), which

and competitive cost. We realized that not every person would need an extremely high end camera to
capture life's simple moments, but consumers would still appreciate a high value product without the
intimidating features of some high
end cameras. We chose to implement a Best
Cost strategy, which
allows our company to deliver a quality camera at a fair price and offer more in terms of value than the
lower PQ rated cameras. We believed this strategy would allow us to gain market share ... Show more

Although our competitors began to improve their product quality, we kept ours constant. We wanted to
compete with a best
cost strategy by providing an average value at a reasonable price. Our entry
level
cameras did very well this year, but our end results showed that we needed to pay attention to our multi
‐
feature cameras for next year.
Year 10
For year 10 we decided that it was time to slightly improve the quality of our multi
feature camera in
order to remain competitive. We improved some of the core components in our multi
feature camera so
that it would be at a 3½ star quality. In order to compensate for the higher costs that came with making a
higher quality camera we increased its price. We based our price increases off what our competitors were
charging for a similar quality camera, while at the same time trying to stick with our best
cost strategy.
This year we also decided to cut back significantly on R&D costs. We chose to spend nothing for our
entry
level cameras and only about $1000 for our multi
featured. We thought that cutting costs would help
increase profits for our next year.
Year 11
Year 11 was a good year financially, so we decided to not make any major changes in terms of
changing the price or quality of our products. We kept the prices the same as year 10 for the most part,
with only changing the price of our multi
feature in Asia
Pacific. We increased the

Critical review of « ACCOR Group's environmental footprint –
November 2011» report, prepared for ACCOR by PwC
Background
In August 2011, Bleu Safran and Beyond Green Travel were commissioned by ACCOR to undertake a
critical review of the study "ACCOR Group's environmental footprint" prepared by PwC for ACCOR.
The expert panel was formed of the following reviewers:
– Costas Christ, one of the world 's leading sustainable tourism experts, CEO and founder of
Beyond Green Travel (www.beyondgreentravel.com), and Sally Smith, Vice President of
Operations at Beyond Green Travel
– Charlotte Hugrel and Magali Palluau, LCA experts, co–founders of Bleu Safran

Although no standard currently applies to life cycle assessment (LCA) at an organizational level, main
principles of ISO 14040 and ISO 14044 standards were used as guidelines. In completing our work, we
mainly focused on the following points of attention:
– Are the objectives, scope, and boundaries of the study clearly identified?
– Does the study employ a sufficiently comprehensive set of environmental indicators? Are these
indicators relevant for the hospitality sector?
– Are the assumptions used clearly identified and reasonable?
– Are the sources of data clearly identified and representative?
– Is there sufficient analysis of the sensitivity and uncertainty of the results?
– Is the report complete, consistent, and transparent?
– Are the conclusions appropriate based on the data and analysis?
Objectives and scope of the study
The various objectives of the study are stated in section 1 in a clear way. ACCOR's decision to consider
its direct and indirect environmental impacts at the group level, as one component of its commitment to
the principles of sustainable tourism, and to go beyond the extensively used but simplistic focus on
climate change, is innovative and forward–thinking.

JOINT FIELD PROJECT
MANAGEMENT COMMUNICATION AND ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR
Your major and final project for both Organizational Behavior and Management Communication will be
a field–based project pursued by your group, involving field research (interviews, focus groups, data
collection, etc.), and culminating in a formal report and an oral presentation (by the team) to your client
(optional) and your classmates and professors.
Objectives
The objectives of this assignment are:
1. To provide you the opportunity to apply the theory and processes you are learning to actual practice,
with the structure and guidance provided by your professors, and with the support of your group and
other classmates.
2. To provide you with ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The proposal will not be graded, but it will be read carefully with an eye for feasibility, potential pitfalls,
and possible directions you might pursue for most fruitful results. You will not receive credit for the final
report unless the proposal has been submitted and returned to you. The proposal letter will be read and
graded as an assignment in Management Communication.
2. Final Written Report
Purpose and Audience
A final report is usually the last stage in some sort of problem–identification/problem–solving process,
or, at least, an evaluative process. Within business organizations, the audience is usually a two–part one:
the staff who will be charged with acting on your findings, and the executives who want to be able to
grasp quickly the gist of your report and to act accordingly. In order to satisfy both these audiences, your
report needs to be prepared in full detail for the former audience, although as briefly and concisely as is
consonant with that goal; and in intelligent summary form for the latter audience, usually as an executive
summary.
Form and Organization
The most common flaw in reports made in business organizations, whether in written or oral form, is
that they are too linear. That is, they are organized in a pattern reflecting the process the investigator (s)
followed in conducting the study. You'll want to write instead for readers who want their concerns
emphasized, and not be

Comprehensive Peer Evaluation Paper
2012 Comprehensive Peer Evaluation
The comprehensive peer evaluation of Dixie State was conducted in October 2012. The size and scope
of this evaluation required nine evaluators who worked on campus for a three–day period (VanderStaay
et al., 2012, pp. 1 & 4). Steven L. VanderStaay, who then served as the Vice Provost for Undergraduate
Education at Western Washington University in Bellingham, Washington, chaired the evaluation
committee. Joining VanderStaay were eight academics from universities in Idaho, Montana, and
Washington (VanderStaay et al., p. 4; see Appendix C). Besides the evaluation, the committee listed 49
persons whom they interviewed in the course of the evaluation (Appendix D). They also conducted open
meetings in which 150 persons were involved, although the names of these individuals were not
recorded. Some of the major interviewees included the college president, the ... Show more content on

final twenty–four page report was submitted to the SPC and NWCCU in September 2013.. An

Status (Bryant, table of contents).
Year One Peer–Evaluation Report
The peer evaluation report was prepared and submitted in October 2013 (Divine & McFarlane, cover).
Peer evaluator procedure required that any conflicts of interest (whether substantive or in appearance) be
assiduously avoided (Accreditation Handbook, p. 15). The evaluators assessed the same themes as the
peer evaluation but does it from a position off campus (Accreditation Handbook, p. 15). Chosen to serve

State of the Industry:
The sensor industry is an attractive industry due to its' rapid growth rates and high entry barriers.
Additionally, there are no close substitute products. The bargaining power of suppliers is not a factor
affecting the sensor industry at this time. However, the bargaining power of buyers is extremely strong,
due to the fact that switching costs are low, and most product segments are fairly standardized. The
sensor industry is also characterized by intense rivalry among six strong competitors.
State of the Company:
Chester Sensor Corporation is in a good competitive position at the end of the seventh year of

Summary
The key determinant of Chester's' success was the management commitment to superior business
processes. Chester has a state of the art facility. Management increased capacity in the years after the
government split and will continue to add capacity as growth dictates. However, capacity will be
expanded at a lower rate than previously, in an attempt to avoid cash flow shortages seen in prior years.
Chester has enhanced automation and quality processes in order to gain production efficiencies and cost
savings. Chester has invested in labor recruiting and training; developing core competencies in it's'
workforce. The firm has and will continue to maintain investment in research and development, as
product improvements will continue to be demanded by the customers. The other key factor of the
corporation's success was the superior growth of the industry. It would have been much more difficult to
sustain profitable growth in this extremely competitive market without the superior volume growth of
the sensor industry.
Future managers of Chester should continue plant improvements and labor initiatives, while focusing on
product segments with the highest contribution margins. Management needs to develop accurate
forecasting techniques to avoid the inventory swings seen in the first five years, and the inventory stock
outs that occurred for at least one product every year. Future success will depend on leveraging the core
competencies of Chester and

The Issue Of A Great Amount Of Money $ 4 Million
Introduction
I am a senior accountant working for Cape Tisbe International (CTI) and am writing this business report
concerning the issue of a great amount of money $4 million that has been paid to a PNG government
minister as "Consulting Fees" recently. In this report, I would like to identify the fact , the issues needed
to be tackled, and then discuss the possible consequences derived from those issues, subsequently I will
offer some plausible solutions in tackling this issue in a long–run development. .
Facts
A year ago, CTI signed a contract for farm machinery, worth $25 million, with Papua New
Guinea(PNG). Recently, however, when I was conducting the annual internal audit, I have discovered
some issues associated with this signed contract. As soon as I found something wrong with the contract's
accounting records I communicated with George but his answer has not addressed my confusion. Soon
after that I had a chat with my boss Gareth because it was my duty to identify and reveal any detailed
information related to CTI's financial records. after the conversation with both of them, I decided to dig
it further. Now I discover that the actual sale revenue of the contract was $21 million as around $4
million has been paid to a PNG government minister as 'Consulting Fees".
I understand that the payment was paid to a certain person in order to secure the contract and maximize
the wealth of our company. According to the relevant regulations and rules provided by both

Lose 10 pounds by Exercising 30 Minutes a Day: By the End of Semester
My topic for the Behavior Modification was to lose 10 pounds by exercising at least 30 minutes a day
along with pursuing a healthy diet by the end of the semester. The strategies I incorporated to support
this goal are: phone apps and using the P90X exercise program. The thought of using the apps, is to see
the actual data and to point out unhealthy behaviors. Furthermore, healthy eating and daily exercise
would promote sound body and mind along with restful sleep patterns. I also included prayer in my
everyday workouts asking for the strength and stamina to get through the day.
The P90X program publicizes muscle confusion to affirm the effectiveness of the workouts. This
particular program suggests you take a before and after picture of yourself for motivation, which I do not
feel comfortable with sharing at this time due to the program does suggest you continue the program for
90 days to see ultimate results. Consequently, I have not gone through the 90 days for I started in
September. I struggled with the program and found I needed to modify many of the moves due to knee
pain. Fortunately, one of the wonderful things about the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

if I were to snack throughout the day with healthy option, I was less likely to make bad choices due to
hunger pangs. I will continue to document my exercise and food intake with a daily journal, maybe even
graduate to a phone app that I will actually like! I plan on sticking to the 90 days of P90X with the

3. XXVIII TECHNICAL CONGRESS
As explained before, the Technical Congress is held on a yearly basis. It is a fixed date in the agenda of
many production and technology managers from member cement companies in the Iberian–American
region and technology suppliers from all over the world. The event has two major purposes: first, the
exchange of best practices in production, quarry restoration, environmental stewardship, organizational
health and safety and other technical topics and sharing of state–of–the–art related technology. Second,
to provide a marketplace for technology buyers and suppliers, creating attractive business and
networking opportunities.
As briefly stated above, my main responsibility was to take care of the trade exhibition that takes place
within the framework of the Technical
Congress. The show room is one, if not the main, source of financing the event. Throughout the three
months spent at the Federation I made contacts, sold the exhibition spaces and sponsorship packages,

2. Benefits of arts and culture to Toronto's Tourism industry
The local arts and culture scene supports Toronto's tourism industry, one of the key pillars of its
economy.
The arts and culture sector (which is a subset of Toronto's Tourism industry) as a whole accounts for
between 133,000 to 190,000 jobs and $9 billion of economic activity every year, comparable to other
much–hyped sectors such as high–tech or biomedical (The Economic Importance of Culture to Toronto:
Final Report, 2001).
Toronto is famous for its liberal, expressive arts, and the local performing arts scene has been in the
spotlight many times and received numerous rewards (Henry, C., 2009). Every year, flocks of tourists
are drawn in by world–renowned theatre events and festivals. Examples include (Toronto International
Film Festival Inc., 2011):
* the Toronto International Film Festival, which draws in approximately 1.3 million visitors each season;
and * the Canadian National Exhibition, which features 336 films from 64 different countries and draws

cheesecloth and folded it so it was 4 layers thick. I then placed it into the funnel. 60 mL of soil was
measured out using the 100 mL beaker and placed into the cheesecloth lined funnel. The funnel was then
put inside beaker 5. The contents of beaker 1 (water) were poured through the funnel and let filter for 1
minute into beaker 5. My observations were recorded on Table 1 on the Lab Reporting Form. I repeated
the process of creating a filter of cheesecloth and soil and filtered the contents of beaker 2 (vegetable oil)

The organization itself has many visible signs of supporting diversity as many of the images on its

This charity was founded in 1969 by activist Marianne Heller. It is one of the closest charities to the
university as it focuses on helping children in inner–city Toronto. By donating to Inner City Angels the
RBSA will be donating to a charity that focuses on promoting arts education and 'hands–on' training for
inner city children who do not have the facilities to get an arts education. This foundation helps youths to
realize their full creative potential by pairing them with arts organizations, educators and artists who
educate them on the arts and work with them on creative art projects. This, ultimately, helps the youth
with their personal development as they will be working in a communal environment with other youths.

Futures Trading: Final Report
Futures Trading Project Final Report Futures Market: Over the course of this semester I followed the
July corn futures market. Throughout my time spent tracking the futures market corn prices remained
low as compared to previous years. From January 18, 2016, to April 22, 2016, prices remained steady
around the $3.00 range. This was a result of various market developments which took place throughout
the past four months. A major factor that affected prices frequently was the weather. Agriculture depends
heavily on weather and as a result the futures corn prices were affected. Increases in U.S. corn prices
took place whenever other major corn producing countries experienced bad weather. If the U.S.
predicted hazardous weather, prices also increased because it likely took a toll on the overall production.
Another major development that affected the U.S. futures prices dealt with the value of the U.S. dollar.
As the value rose compared to other currencies, futures prices dropped. This was due to export decreases
and as a result the supply within the United States increased, causing futures prices to fall. However,
when the value of the dollar decreased U.S. futures increased. As a result, other countries demanded
more U.S. corn, leading to increased futures prices. The USDA releases reports that impact U.S. futures
prices. Within these reports expected numbers of production, yields, and various other factors are
calculated, which greatly impact the U.S. futures

How did the final project go compared to how you thought it might go? The final project was little better
than I expected. Omars technological skills are always good, which is why I thought we would do a
good job. Yet, I expected the survey results to be sketchy, because of all of the written results and the
unreliability of some peoples responses. 5. What are some things you learned from this project? First, I
´ve learned some tricks involving Google Excel and creating proper graphs. Second, I learned that when
you work with people that actually complete their work, the project is smoother and better. Though, I
was surprised that he completed all of his work and did even more, which was interesting. 5a. What did
you learn about research (surveys, interviews, etc.)? I learned that more than just some people find their
homework uninteresting. I didn't expect this to be a problem for most people. I learned that most people
find the homework in Mathematics and social studies uninteresting, and I agree. I was surprised that few
people found artistic assignments interesting, but they were probably thinking about the basic art class
assignments which are not being intended. 6. How can you apply some of what you've learned in future

Wp101 Final Report
This semester I have took the WPC101. This is a class of the introduction to business. I learnt that how
to live better on campus, and it allows me to know this university better. As a freshman, also I am an
oversea student, I have learnt a lot from this class, and I believe that is necessary for me to master this
knowledge. First of all, at the beginning of this semester, we produced our resumes, this was a brand
new skill to me. And it benefits me a lot. That is because resume is very important when we seek a job in
the future. It represents ourselves and shows our experiences in the past. The companies will consider
that if we are suitable for that specific job based on our experiences. Also, in order to enrich resume I
will pay more attention to more activities besides the class at college, such as joining school
organizations, go to clubs. Then it will improve my skills like leadership. ... Show more content on

One was team, one will be the individual. To be honest, I have never done any form of presentation
before in my school life. The reason is that I come from China which is a totally different country. We
have another education mode in my country, there is always no need to do presentations or projects in
school work. And now, I have outcome my edge. I have discussed with my teacher and group members
about creating an interesting and meaningful presentation. Then, we made it, and I was proud of myself
and all my team members. Doing business is my dream, and the first presentation was about setting up a
company in a specific community. I believe this topic was

Business Report : Senior Accountant Working For Cape Tisbe...
1.0 Introduction
I am a senior accountant working for Cape Tisbe International (CTI) and am writing this business report
to the Board concerning the issue of a large amount of money ($4 million) that has been paid to a PNG
government minister as "Consulting Fees" recently. In this report, I intend to identify the fact, the issues
needed to be tackled regarding this payment, and then discuss the possible consequences derived from
these "Consulting Fees", subsequently I will offer some plausible recommendations in coping with this
issue in a short and long–run global expansion, and lastly I would like to discusss the appropriate ways
to handle business globally in the foreseeable future. 2.0 Background
A year ago, CTI signed a contract for farm machinery, worth $25 million, with Papua New
Guinea(PNG). Recently, however, when I was conducting the annual internal audit, I have discovered
some financial issues associated with this signed contract. As soon as I found something wrong with the
transaction records I communicated with George but his answer has not addressed my confusion and
concerns. Soon after that I had a chat with my boss Gareth, and failed to gain a satisfied answer again.
After the conversation with both of them, thus, I decided to dig it a bit further. Now I have discovered
that the actual sales revenue of the contract was $21 million due to around $4 million that has been paid
to a PNG government minister as "Consulting Fees". Apparently, Geroge and

History 202 Final Report

  • 1. History 202 Final Report During the course, History 202, there were information and skills gained from the course. I learned information and skills that I did not know before the course. My expectations from the course were met and helped me polish my writing skills. This course was what I anticipated it to be and the work given was useful. The most important things that I learned were primary and secondary sources. A primary source is a source such as a document or picture that was created at that time. A secondary source is a source that someone research and obtain information from the original piece; an example is an article written by someone on that topic. Furthermore, I learned how to manage my time better and not procrastinate. Not only was I able to acquire skills and information in history, I was able to develop my time management skill. In any course, there would be obstacles and challenges, but it's all about how you resolve them. One of the objectives that I had for this course was completing all of my work on time. My expectation for myself is to aim for nothing lower than a 'B' grade point for any of my assignments. However, I still had to do the same thing for my other class that I am currently taking as well. The way that I manage to balance working full time and doing online classes were setting days for each class. I would also take my homework with me ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The information that I was taught in this course helps me to understand the reason why people and society act the way they do. It also shows how society has changed. As far as the world goes, it will always change because history is made every day. However, with the course itself, I would not change anything. The reason for that is because it was not too much work at one time and it was spread reasonably. The homework that was given was relevant to the text. This course was full of valuable information that can change our outlook on the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Our results for the appearance and solubility of iodine and zinc were very similar to the results given on the table. The only thing that was different was the result for Mineral oil. Because the table only states the solubility of Glycerin we don't know if the results we got for Mineral oil would match up with the handbook results. 2. Post Lab Questions: 1. a. Zinc shot was used to determine density instead of granular zinc because the small granules of zinc traps air bubbles while zinc shot does not. Knowing this, will the measured volume of zinc in the form of granules be greater or smaller? Greater because of added air bubbles taking up more space. b. Will the density of zinc using the granules be greater or smaller? The density will be smaller because the air bubbles cause the volume to be incorrectly larger while not changing the mass (around 10 grams). The large volume then causes the density to be smaller when it's plugged into the equation (D=M/V) 2. a. What does the slope of the line signify in the graph that you plotted? The slope signifies the density of the zinc. This is because Rise/Run = Mass/Volume in the graph b. Comment on your y–intercept. The y–intercept is the mass of zinc when there is a volume of zero. 3. The workload in the course defined by the syllabus is very simple, but very different for most classes. There are only 3 real components to our grades in the course, weekly labs, projects, and tests(1). Unlike most courses in STEM disciplines, there is no homework at all in this course aside from the projects which are done at home. Each project is given with a two–week deadline and is designed to take a fair amount of time over those two weeks. Due to the abrasive nature of coding, grading is results based but with multiple ways of solving the same problem, optimization is key in many projects. On the other hand, when one learns by theory they will grasp the concept better, but in a single situation and struggle to apply the knowledge to other situations. However, theory–learning has its place, especially when trial– and–error solving is not an option and having the correct invariances on the first try is necessary. For example, when drawing a diagram of a structure, there is no way to test if the structure is correct, the assumption is that the theory is correct. Developing Applications Algorithms For Various Projects Due to my previous experience working in developing optimized algorithms for various projects, I was invited by my supervisor to join a large and challenging project to help a fast growing health care company adapt to new working environment and develop a functional billing process. Fortunately, during my college, I had courses and trainings that gave me the foundation to identify workplaces and optimized algorithms for each one. Combined with years of experience, I was ready to show my engineering skills in a large and challenging project. I attended multiple meetings with my supervisor and other team members and we talked and brainstormed about this project for days. CE3.6 The first step in this project was accurate data collection and I was responsible to observe the current process of operation and gather as much data as possible that helps the team to develop the working processes for smooth and optimized operation. In the first step, I introduced myself to the client's staff and explained that I need to have access to certain data and operation procedures to get an accurate understating about the current status of the company. It was a challenging step, because the data I required from the company was often mixed with patient's data that made it impossible to share with third party. Therefore, I decided that I would visit the company in operation and collect the data in person. Upon my visit, I noticed the billing process and coding involves many parties including ... This is a must read for anyone with a loved one with an "impending death" disease (such as cancer). It not only helped me go through my cousin last days with grace and ease but changed my outlook on dying. I am no longer afraid of death. It sounds morbid, but this book helped me enjoy the process of watching a loved one die because I did not feel helpless. It has enabled me to be comfortable with the course of killing and embrace each step. It also allowed me to comfort the person that is dying and the conversations that will evolve because of their awareness. Precious memories for you are comforting to the individual who's dying. It's about the journey of death. This insightful book was written by two hospice nurses, Maggie Callanan and Patricia Kelley, who introduce us to the unique way people communicate their imminent deaths. Usually, in symbolic language, the dying will tell us when their time is near, or some will ask for help to facilitate a peaceful journey. According to Callanan and Kelley, the most common way for the dying to explain the onset of death is to talk about taking a trip, like my dad did. They understand what's happening to ... The purpose of this lab is to utilize an assortment of lab techniques that we have learned throughout the semester and understand how the differences in results could help us in the identification process of an unknown bacteria. The case study corresponding with my unknown is an 86–year–old male nursing home patient who has been suffering from fever, chills, and bladder pain, associated with use of a catheter. To achieve accurate test results, proper techniques need to be done thoroughly and carefully. By forgetting to do something as simple as flaming a loop or needle before and after each use may lead to false results and conclusions. It is critical to perform other tests to confirm previous results even if all the steps were performed correctly. The tourism industry is now one of the largest sectors earning foreign exchange. In the face of many benefits, many countries have started assigning due weight age to the tourism industry in their national development agenda. Tourism is an industry that operates on a massively broad scale: it embraces activities ranging from the smallest sea–side hotel; to air–lines, multi–national hotel chains and major international tour operators. This may include activities such as mountaineering, trekking, bungee jumping, mountain biking, rafting, zip–lining and rock climbing. MEDICAL TOURS Medical tourism (also called medical travel, health tourism or global healthcare) is a term initially coined by travel agencies and the mass media to describe the rapidly–growing practice of travelling across international borders to obtain health care. It also refers pejoratively to the practice of healthcare providers travelling internationally to deliver healthcare. With world travel market having undergone significant changes over the last few years a new type of tourist has emerged known as the Free Independent Traveler or Tourist (FIT). The definition is broad but tends to refer to people over 35, often, though not necessarily, of above average income who like to travel in small groups, usually couples. They eschew mass tourism and the holiday package concept promoted by Travel operators, in favour of a more individualistic approach to travel. There are two implications to the idea of the Free Independent Traveler. One is important in the context of a marketing niche with a distinct economic behavior whilst the other concentrates more on the philosophy of travel. This distinction can be summarized in how they are described. For the economic importance of tourism and for marketing purposes they are Free Independent Travelers (Upper ... The Importance Of Team Dynamics And Communication Throughout my semester in SciTech, perhaps the most important thing that I took away from my experience was the importance of team dynamics and communication in collaborative projects, and this is particularly true in engineering fields, where it is absolutely essential to success, and, in my opinion, significantly more important than the skill of knowledge of individual team members after a certain point. Every team that I was part of during SciTech, the team for the semester challenge especially, had numerous issues in cooperation and communication, and conflict repeatedly arises, though we eventually learned how best to function together and were able to successfully complete the challenge before D4 with a significant amount of time to spare, though we did have some issues with time management in regard to the Final Report later. I have found that, although relevant skills to the task at hand, proficiency with SolidWorks or a general aptitude for mechanical engineering for example, organizational abilities, or other things of that nature, these are effectively useless without a developer work ethic, a willingness to accept feedback and learn, the ability to effectively resolve disputes, and good communication, all of which are immensely valuable in a collaborative setting. For example, one of my group members spent more than a week on the quantitative analysis section of the FDR, but I ended up having to redo large portions of it anyway (logbook 3/23), which ... I spent time with my supervisor to get a better understanding of the requirements of the company, proposed task list for the project, and begin planning the remainder of the project before ordering and installation. In terms of planning, there are a number of things that needed to be done beyond just planning the technical components, hardware and software, and configuration of a new server/system. We had to call a number of different representatives from various companies such as utility companies, computer and server supply companies, property owners, and others to ensure all of the proper ... • 33. As explained before, the Technical Congress is held on a yearly basis. It is a fixed date in the agenda of many production and technology managers from member cement companies in the Iberian–American region and technology suppliers from all over the world. The event has two major purposes: first, the exchange of best practices in production, quarry restoration, environmental stewardship, organizational health and safety and other technical topics and sharing of state–of–the–art related technology. Second, to provide a marketplace for technology buyers and suppliers, creating attractive business and networking opportunities. As briefly stated above, my main responsibility was to take care of the trade exhibition that takes place within the framework of the Technical Congress. The show room is one, if not the main, source of financing the event. Throughout the three months spent at the Federation I made contacts, sold the exhibition spaces and sponsorship packages, coordinated the promotion material for the exhibitors, followed–up merchandise deliveries, participant's registrations, programs for spouses, payments, the social agenda, the academic program (including paper call) and the congress' website. Alternative 2: Inner City Angels This charity was founded in 1969 by activist Marianne Heller. It is one of the closest charities to the university as it focuses on helping children in inner–city Toronto. By donating to Inner City Angels the RBSA will be donating to a charity that focuses on promoting arts education and 'hands–on' training for inner city children who do not have the facilities to get an arts education. This foundation helps youths to realize their full creative potential by pairing them with arts organizations, educators and artists who educate them on the arts and work with them on creative art projects. This, ultimately, helps the youth with their personal development as they will be working in a communal environment with other youths. • 40. Futures Trading: Final Report Futures Trading Project Final Report Futures Market: Over the course of this semester I followed the July corn futures market. Throughout my time spent tracking the futures market corn prices remained low as compared to previous years. From January 18, 2016, to April 22, 2016, prices remained steady around the $3.00 range. This was a result of various market developments which took place throughout the past four months. A major factor that affected prices frequently was the weather. Agriculture depends heavily on weather and as a result the futures corn prices were affected. Increases in U.S. corn prices took place whenever other major corn producing countries experienced bad weather. If the U.S. predicted hazardous weather, prices also increased because it likely took a toll on the overall production. Another major development that affected the U.S. futures prices dealt with the value of the U.S. dollar. As the value rose compared to other currencies, futures prices dropped. This was due to export decreases and as a result the supply within the United States increased, causing futures prices to fall. However, when the value of the dollar decreased U.S. futures increased. As a result, other countries demanded more U.S. corn, leading to increased futures prices. The USDA releases reports that impact U.S. futures prices. Within these reports expected numbers of production, yields, and various other factors are calculated, which greatly impact the U.S. futures ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In addition, we compared our presentation and its qualities to other peoples´ and we found that ours was ´superior´. 3. In this report, I intend to identify the fact, the issues needed to be tackled regarding this payment, and then discuss the possible consequences derived from these "Consulting Fees", subsequently I will offer some plausible recommendations in coping with this issue in a short and long–run global expansion, and lastly I would like to discusss the appropriate ways to handle business globally in the foreseeable future. 2.0 Background A year ago, CTI signed a contract for farm machinery, worth $25 million, with Papua New Guinea(PNG). Recently, however, when I was conducting the annual internal audit, I have discovered some financial issues associated with this signed contract. As soon as I found something wrong with the transaction records I communicated with George but his answer has not addressed my confusion and concerns.
