WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT ABOUT
TECHNOLOGIES FROM THE PROCESS OF
CONSTRUCTING THIS PRODUCT?

2. TECHNOLOGY
Through the course of the project many different software's and
hardware's were used:
- Wordpress
- iMac
- Adobe Premiere
- Adobe Photoshop
- Slide Share
- Prezi
- Celtx

3. BLOG
Over the course of the year all our work has been presented on our blog and that makes it
easier since we know where everything is and can quite easily reference it back to a
previous piece of work.
We used Wordpress which allowed
us to do this
The Wordpress blog allowed us to
organize our work in one place in a
chronological order under separate
categories
The Wordpress blog was also useful
as it also allowed us to access our
work from home as well as school
which gave us ample opportunity to
work on our blog in the spare time.

4. WEBSITES
• We used multiple websites to help us in the construction of our blog which include:
• H Prezi allowed us to make free professional presentations although
initially it seemed quite complicated I quickly got the hang of it and
it was all straightforward and Prezi also enabled the embedding of the
presentations onto our blog.
• K Slide share gave us another avenue when it came to
presenting our work and was a lot more straightforward in
comparison to Prezi also the process of embedding was very
simple. The major downfall of Slide share was probably the
fact it didn’t enable editing on the site like Empressr does
• F gf Video Copilot was integral to the success of our project as this
was the website which helped us tremendously when it came to
creating our logos as it gave us tutorials as well as templates
which we could download and edit to form our own logo.

5. FILMING
• When it came to filming we used a Canon 60D which we weren’t familiar with at all
however by using it for our Continuity Task and then our real project we became more
comfortable in using the camera. The camera also recorded in full HD which would then
produce the best quality pictures for our work.
• One of the things that happened when was that initially we planned to film during our
Christmas holidays however what happened then was that we had the wrong charger and
the two batteries weren’t fully charged either. This set us back and we realised the
importance of checking our equipment when taking it out.
• We also used a tripod when it came to filming to make sure that the camera was stable
and allow us to produce good quality shots which wouldn’t have a lot of movement and
using a tripod also helped in the quality of shots.

6. EDITING
• For editing we used Adobe Premiere CS6 which gave us the best tools possible for editing
our project which at the start seemed very difficult to utilize but after watching some
tutorials and guidance from our teacher we got the hang of using Adobe Premiere
• We all had a go at using Premiere at different stages so we would all be exposed to the
software and learn how to use it properly and efficiently.
• We also used other software's when it came to our editing process such as After Effects
which we used to construct our logos

7. IN CONCLUSION
• Overall I felt that we have used range of technology in the production of our media
project. We have progressed quite a lot in terms of becoming more comfortable in using
various forms of technology
