The document discusses various media technologies used to complete a research and evaluation project. A Canon HD video camera was used to film scenes for a research trailer. An iMac was vital for editing the film opening, as it offered professional software and was more advanced than school computers. A USB drive allowed work to be transferred between school and home. Adobe Photoshop and Final Cut Pro were used for graphic design and video editing. Blogger was used to upload work online and Slideshare allowed presentations to be shared. Google was heavily relied on for research and YouTube was used to upload high-quality videos with feedback features.

Using media technologies for research, planning, and evaluation
1. The use of media technologies in the construction of:
Research, Planning and Evaluation.
EVALUATION POST 4
2. Video Camera: To film most of our research and final trailer we used a HD Canon
camera. This camera was very useful in terms of all the buttons it had for example
there was zoom, pause, record, stop – all the basic necessities to film scenes.
iMac: To edit my film opening I used my iMac. Having the iMac was vital for me
to have. The iMac offered many software/programs to choose from which would
be best appropriate to use. It was much professional than a usual school computer
as it was advanced and its compatibility with media products to create was very
good. Since I have had experience with them before, using the iMac again to
produce certain tasks increased my skills to be familiar with it. I found it easier to
multitask with the iMac than the school computers. The tools which I could use
was very much helpful too. The iMac had a very fast processor which made my
work efficient as I could get more done with it than a normal computer.
USB: A memory stick was very much handy for me. I could transfer all my
uncompleted tasks like long evaluations and presentations from school, to home.
This made things quick for me as i was to get completed from home on time.
HARDWARE
3. Adobe Photoshop: For my poster and magazine, I used Photoshop. In
Photoshop there were many tools I was able to use to give it a professional
look. Some of the tools I used were airbrush, blur, colour adjustments,
transformation.
Final Cut Pro: For our film trailer and production log we used this software.
Final cut pro gave all the basics like iMovie but more and was much more
flexible and gave more options of editing tools, transitions, framing, colouring
etc.
Adobe Premiere Pro: For blogger when uploading videos we finalised all our
video productions on premiere pro to minimalise the size so it is viewable.
SOFTWARE
4. Blogger: To upload all my work I used blogger. The layout of blogger will allow me to post
all my work and progression consecutively and clearly. With helpful tools like tags will allow
my viewers to view my posts organised.
Slideshare: To upload all my presentations to make them compatible I used slideshare.
Slideshare.net is a website which allows users to upload their power point presentations for
free. Slideshare gives an embedded code so I could use this in hand with blogger making it
viewable to my readers.
Google: I used Google the most through the duration of my coursework. Having a good
search engine ensured I was able to obtain whatever information I needed. This came in
need when I did most of my research tasks. My secondary information was sourced
through google
YouTube: When uploading my videos I used YouTube. YouTube would be best source to
upload my videos from as it keep the quality of the videos intact. YouTube has a like button
as well as view count which gives me feedback from the general audience.
