The document discusses the use of new media technologies at different stages of a project.
In the early stages, the internet was used to set up a blog on Blogger.com and search for bands on Myspace.com and Unsigned.com.
When filming, an HD camcorder captured footage and Apple iMac computers were used for editing in Final Cut Express, though the software took time to learn. The finished video was uploaded to YouTube for feedback.
Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Paint were used to create a digital packaging design, while Picnik.com allowed for online photo editing.
SlideShare.com created a survey for feedback and allowed results to be shared on a blog

1. Evaluation Question 4 . How did you use new media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?
2. Early Stages of The Project In the early stages of our project the main technology we had to use was the internet we needed to use this to set up our blog and it also allowed us to search for bands and artists we could use for our project I used the website blogger.com to record my progress throughout my project I used myspace.com to search for artists and bands that we could use, although this had a very mainstream result. We then decided to use Unsigned.com a website dedicated to unsigned bands and artists .
3. Filming and Editing When filming our video to ensure we had the best quality we used a HD camcorder. For editing we was lucky enough to be able to use apple Imac computers, at times this proved very difficult as Imacs use lots of different controls to normal computers, but over time I got used to them. Software wise for editing we used Final Cut Express. This was a new piece of software to our editing suite, and at first like the imac’s It was very challenging to use but over time I got used to it and with the help of YouTube I learned a few new tricks. We then uploaded our finished idea to YouTube so that we could show it to the band and also try to get some random feedback. Uploading it to the internet also made it easier to upload to my blog
4. Digi-Pak and Magazine Advert I used Google to research into some of the most famous Digi-Pak’s to help me to come up with an idea for my Digi-Pak. I used Adobe Photoshop to create my Digi-Pak, But on the Imac I found this program very difficult to use so I only used it for the beginning stage of my Digi-Pak I then turned to using Microsoft's programme Paint this was much easier to comprehend than Adobe Photoshop, But this did make my Digi-Pak look less professional than when I was using Photoshop I then found an internet website called picnik.com. This is an online photo editing site that allowed me to edit my Digi-Pak add cool effects and cooler and more unique fonts than the ones the computer programmes were offering .
5. Analysing and evaluating To Gain some audience feed back I created a survey using SlideShare.com. This allowed me to create a survey and send it to my friends although the website only allowed me to create a limited amount of questions. So we also uploaded our video to facebook to get some more feedback on our video. To help with the evaluating process I used Slideshare.com this website allows you to create a power point presentation and then allows you to upload the power point to your blog.
