Why is Cardiovascular (Heart) Risk Screening Important? There are many heart diseases ---- Heart attack is one of the leading causes of death in the world. Hypertension or high blood pressure is a condition in which the blood pressure in the arteries is chronically elevated.
Atrial fibrillation (AF) is an irregular and often rapid rhythm, or arrhythmia, of the upper chambers of the heart. These rapid contractions of the heart are weaker than normal contractions, resulting in slow flow of blood in the atrium.
