2. Location
The Alhambra is located in the city of Granada in Andalusia in the south
of Spain.

3. Origin
This was a palace built and resided by the Nasrid kingdom and after
being conquered by the Spanish court of Granada, it became the royal
residence and court of Granada.

4. The Alhambra entered in the UN the 2 November, 1984 because it was
an architectural example which illustrates the presence of Islam in
Spain.

5. History
This site was a militar zone. In The Alhambra, there were wars launched
by Isabel I that ended with King Boabdil. This confrontation led to the
reconquest and ended with the war in Granada.

6. The tourist
The Alhambra is one of the most visited places in Spain with two million
tourists per year.

7. Why is it famous?
It is famous because it is one of the most beautiful Arabic architecture in
Spain with its geographical position and its amazing defensive towers.
