Alhambra is located in Granada, Spain and was built in the 14th century by the Nasrid rulers of Granada. It started as a military fortress but later became a palace complex. Some key parts of Alhambra include the Court of the Myrtles, Hall of the Ambassadors, Court of the Lions, and Fountain Hall of the Abencerrajes. In 1984, Alhambra was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site due to its architectural significance and representation of the different religions that inhabited Spain.

2. WHERE IS ALHAMBRA?
It is located in Granada, Andalusia, Spain. In other terms it
is in the South part of Spain which was inhabited by
muslims during period of a large time.
Alhambra is built in a very beatiful and green place.

 It was built during the XIV century by Yousuf I, the very
famous king of the dynasty of Nasrids. At first, but after
him his son Muhammad IV followed him and kept
renovating Alhambra’s buildings. As, result they got
Alhambra’s magnificent building.
FACTS ABOUT ALHMABRA
Most parts of Alhmabra (walls) are built with clay and soil.
 Al-Hambra means RED CASTLE
 During the French Domination of Spain, 1809 to 1812,
several towers of the Alhambra were destroyed but later
restored, some of which was done as late as the 20th
century.
 Constructed by the Nasrid rulers of Granada, Alhambra
was initially intended to serve as a military fortress.
