- The Easter island is located in the south of the Ocean Pacific. Itโs a place
isolated from the world and it belongs to Chile.
- The 8 December, 1995 was named a World Heritage Site.
- It was named by natural and cultural wealth.
- The island has about 900 moais. A moai is a sculpture and it was made by
the habitants of the island called Rapa Nui.
- In the summer of 2022, a group of people caused a fire and 400 of moais
were destroyed.
3. the tourists
- Today, about 100,000 people a year usually go.
- Some people also go scuba diving, trekking, kayaking, biking and surfing,
apart from visiting the moais.
- About 7000 people live in the island. Hanga Roa is the only place where
people can live.
- In the island, tourists canโt live more than 30 days to protect the island
biodiversity and ecosystem, if they want to live more days they have to
carry out the authorization process in the Provincial Government of Easter
Island.

- In the island, there are a lot of dogs.
- If you decide to drive, watch out for the cows and horses.
- There are moais everywhere.
- Time changes in thousandths of seconds.
- The internet connection is non-existent.
- Getting to Easter Island is not easy. The way to go to the island is by plane or
by ship.
- There are two banks and many shops and restaurants.
