Editor's Notes
Tardiness is considered after 8Leaving early is any time before 3:00Students should go directly to their transportation or a study hall after leaving class at 3:00.
On the sign in board the student should either move their name to in (if they cannot write their name) or write their name in the “name” box. Teacher tracks tardiness. Therefore it will be marked on the time in form in the teacher binder when each student arrives. Make up work will be assigned after more than 1 late arrival.Leaving early and tardiness is only allowed via parent/guardian approval, the student must have written permission, excessive tardiness with excuses will need to be addressed with the parents..
Everyone in the green zone at the end of every hour gets a “one step dollar” you can spend these at the one step store. If you make it to yellow or red you can go back down to green by following the rules and completing work, Anyonewho has gone in the RED zone 3 days in a row, will have to complete “make up work” To stay in the green you must follow the classroom rules. If you break a classroom rule 1 time you will receive a warning, once you break a classroom rule again you will be moved to yellow, and then to red.
Hallway and bathroom pass use must be monitored by the teacher. If a student is unable to manage their time in the hallway due to limitations then an aid must accompany them to the bathroom. The teacher must monitor in and out times for these trips. The student must put themselves out while making this trip under either the bathroom or hallway box.
Other specials may be added seasonally
See policies on illness for further questions. Performance/Behavior If student has not responded to reinforcement and other strategies and either grades/performance has not improved, or disruptive behavior has not reduced. A student would be sent to the office if problem behavior involved property destruction or aggression towards peers. The student would continue all work in the office so as not to avoid any work in question.
Merit based: based on criteria determined by teacher per quarter—must be met by entire class at 80 percent accuracy
