Timetable Monday and Tuesday: from 8 am. to 1:30 pm. and from 3:15 pm. to 5:15 pm.   Wednesday and Friday: from 8 am. to 1:30 pm.   Thursday: for 9 am. to 1:30 pm. and from 3:15 pm. to 5:15 pm.   Break time: from 11 am. to 11.30 am.       There is 5 minutes break between the classes.

Library  Timetable:   from 11 am. to 11:30 am. One teacher on duty will open the library and if there isn't a duty teacher, the library will be closed. It disposes a projector with a screen and an interactive board. It will be forbidden to lend books during the break time.  You can only lend books if the responsible teacher gives you permission. 
Cafeteria       The menu price is around 7€.   If you regularly come to the dining hall you must write your name down in a list when the year starts.  If you don't normally come, you must pay at the break time.

Teachers on duty The school has on duty teachers to cover situations of illness or field trips     At this time there won't do a normal class.     You can do homework that the missing teacher brings for you or if they don't bring work, you will have time for your own homework.        
Lockers  You can use it when you enter in the morning or in the afternoon and before or after the break time. You can't never use them between the classes.   At the beginning of the year you pay 15€ and if in June it's in good situation, you will get the 15€ back.   If you lose the key you will have to pay 3€ for a new one.
Each student is responsable for the material that you have in the locker and you must always bring the key. 
Celebrations Christmas : a Christmas concert is prepared by the 1st of ESO students and other music students. The families, teachers and others students can attend to this event.   St.George's day : literary competitions take place. The reward is a voucher to spend at the Index's bookshop.   End of the year : Assessment of the course with the tutor, handed in the marks and a concert by the students of the centre.
Exams and portfolios The grades of the subjects will be  from 0 to 10.    The term marks are calculated doing the mean of the exams, class' marks and attitude.    The course mark is calculated doing the mean of the terms.    The portfolio is all the work doing during the term. It will be handed in the exam's day or the last day of the term.
New subjects for students coming from primary Physics  Chemistry Technology         From second ESO the school offers optional subjects.   There are optional subjects for reinforcement, extension or initiation. These subjects are taken two hours a week.     Optional subjects
Final group work This work can be taken individually or in groups and it's a summary about all the subjects that you do during the course. The work's theme is the same for all the people and it's chosen by the teachers.   You can do the work during one week and the teachers help you.   The teachers give the students a dossier with all the information about the work (material that you'll need, how to do it, etc.).
Resits If you don't pass any subject during the course, at the end of the year you must to do a resit exam.    The best mark that you can get is 5.   These exams are taken during 3 days at the end of the course.   If you don't pass the subject, the next course you must retake the subject with another exam, doing a dossier, etc.
Exchange In the last year of the A levels, the High School organizes an exchange with other schools of Europe.   During one week some students go to some country and they will live with the students of the exchange.    The aim of the exchanges is to learn another culture, traditions and practise English.
Disciplinary Reports Punctuality:   5 delays or 5 absences unjustified    a disciplinary report.   Attitude:   3 disciplinary reports implies that you have to stay in the school one extra hour.    5 disciplinary reports implies that you will have to remain 3 hours before or after school. 10 disciplinary reports or a serious incident implies a disciplinary record.    Students may be warned to improve their behaviour.
Field trips     During the course the school will organize some field trips for the students.   The school communicates the parents, with at least one week in advance, and they give to the students a paper with all the information.    
Promotion trip   In 4th of ESO the school organizes a promotion trip to London to practise English and to get to know the country.   The students go to London by plane and stay there for 5 days.    If there are some students that have a disciplinary record, they can't go to this trip.
Mediation The mediation group is created for teachers and some students.   The mediation is totally confidential and voluntary.     The aim is to help the students search for a solution for their problems.   If you want to go to mediation you have to fill out a form and put it in the postbox in front of the secretary's office.  
Young office On Friday, at break time, there is a nurse who answers all the doubts that you have about alcohol, diet, drugs and sex.   The questions are confidential and voluntary and they can be received individually or in groups.  
  The teacher of this class is Assumpta Mitjans. She teaches to the newcomers  the language, the culture and she  helps them with the homework  and to integrate them in the  high school and society.       Newcomers' room
