2. Our group had originally picked the song All of The Stars by Ed Sheeran. We all
loved the song and believed that as it was very recently released, that we
would have an original video.
Our idea was to have a couple in which one of them had died and we would
follow the other through their grieving process. We thought that this would
match the lyrics perfectly and were incredibly excited to start.
However, we begun watching other videos made by previous A2 students and
be realized that our idea wasn't that original after all. It had been done
numerous times before and we really wanted to do something very unique and
different.
3. • We spent a few weeks over the summer listening to a lot of different music to see if
we could find a song that we all loved and to come up with an original and unique
idea for a video.
• We then heard the EP TRXYE and loved every song off of it. We decided that we
would pick the main single, Happy Little Pill, and create a video documenting a
person's journey to overcome depression. We were influenced by the lyrics of the
song and the artist's own influences to choose this topic to explore.
• However, we decided that this would be a little bit too challenging to try and
create. It would require a lot of extra help which we just don't have. We also learnt
that 2 other groups in our class were going to use this song and made up our minds
not to pick it.
4. We still wanted to use a Troye Sivan song, and eventually decided that Fun
would be a really good song to choose. It allowed for a controversial topic to
be explored and it means that we can also link Goodwins theory into our video.
We were influenced by how the younger generation is influenced easily,
especially by loved ones. We also thought that this would be a thought-provoking
topic to explore and one that was especially relevant to current
events in the world.
