are highlighted on the front cover so that the audience read it and want to read more about
the topic so purchasing the magazine would be what they want to do after seeing the cover.
Instead of the strapline being viewed on the magazine front cover there is a picture of the
lead singer from bring me the horizon taking over the masthead. The band members facial
expressions of him holding a microphone and looks as if he is screaming down the
microphone also refers to the strapline of “life is loud” and suggests him making the
loudness.
The blue ink splodges on the left of the page relate to the “UK’S BIGGEST GIG GUIDE” they
look like ink splodges which also relate to the main image and the way the band member has
tattoos this is so that the audience take interest on what is on the page and can infer that the
celebrity is going to be at the gig.
“Epic!” “Tour!” “special!” These three words are featured on the front cover with an
exclamation mark at the end this represents the exaggeration of how good the magazine will
be and how you will feel after you buy the magazine. It shows its exclusiveness and these
words also relate to the masthead. The masthead has an exclamation mark at the end to
reinforce the loudness and looks as if it is screaming at you to purchase this magazine.

viewer to suggest him wanting them to buy the magazine. The target
audience liking loud rock music for a genre will be influenced by the band
member in order to find out his “inside story!” which is also using
exaggeration on the word for the audience to think what is inside the
magazine is exclusive and that can be offered to them by purchasing.
“THE UK’S BIGGEST GIG GUIDE” relates to the way in which without this
magazine they will not be able to experience having this guide and
audiences only want the best so by using persuasive text it forces the
reader to wanting to buy this magazine.
The bottom strip is seen to be extras that a viewer can access once they
buy the magazine. Using the word “PLUS!” with an exclamation at the end
relates to the way in which the magazine is offering way more than others.
4. The masthead is smashed which represents the slogan of the magazine being “ life is
loud “ and shows the audience it is that loud it can smash the title of the magazine
so if you like the genre of loud rock it is the magazine for you.
The main house colours are yellow black and white all these colours are bold bright
and stand out from one another. The masthead and background of the magazine is
white leaving the writing to be black with yellow backgrounds around the important
sections of text. By doing this the audience can clearly see what is on the magazine
and by it being bold and outstanding it attracts the reader too look and purchase this
magazine rather than light colours that do not stand out to the eye.
Hayley Williams from paramore is seen as the main celebrity used on the front page
of the magazine. Her story that is included on the magazine can be seen in the
biggest text on the left hand side next to her face. The text and image relate and
suggest to the reader that this story is a must see and she will “answer YOUR
questions” endorses the reader into purchasing the magazine because fans of this
genre of music would want to find a way into speaking to one of their idols and
finding out there own personal questions it is seen as a once in a lifetime
opportunity with buying the magazine.
The Pugs are used around the side of the magazine to present to the target audience
all the exclusives they will be provided with if they purchase the magazine. As well
as this, the bottom strip of the magazine “PLUS!” is emphasis to the reader that not
only are they getting a lot of exclusives and opportunity's from the magazine they
are even giving you some more for your money and make the magazine seem worth
buying.
