1. What have I learnt
about technologies from
the process of
constructing this
product?
2. Software I have used…
• Adobe PhotoShop – This is the software which I used
in order to manipulate my photos. Every photograph
which I have used in my magazine has been altered
slightly in PhotoShop, in order to better their
appearance.
• Adobe InDesign – This is the software that I used to
actually create the three pages of my music
magazine. This software has allowed me position all
of the features on the pages where I wanted them
and ultimately enabled me to create a music
magazine to a high standard.
• Windows Movie Maker – Software that will allow
me to make a short movie.
3. My Blog
The programme which I created my
blog in was Blogger as this programme
enabled me to create a blog with lots
of different features such as labels. It is
on this programme that I used to
present all of the work that I did on my
music magazine in posts on and then
put labels on them so that people can
easily use my blog.
4. Websites I used to evaluate
• Prezi – I used this to create a presentation that
was interactive
• Popplet – I used this website to create a mind
map.
• Voki – To create a figure will verbally speak the
details of the evaluation.
• Thinglink – A programme which allowed me to
add details to the image which will appear once
the user hovers over that specific area.
• Slideshare – A website which allowed me to
present my PowerPoint presentation
5. Camera
This is the type of camera that I
used in order to take the majority
of the images seen in my music
magazine. I used a professional
camera, so that I could get the
best quality photographs to
improve the professional look of
the magazine.
6. From creating this music magazine I
have learnt the following about
technologies:
• Initially, using all the technologies listed were difficult, but after using
the different programmes for a while I began to understand how to
use them. As I used PhotoShop, InDesign and Blogger the most I
became the most confident with those programmes and could use
them to a high standard. Both InDesign and PhotoShop have got so
many different features which make up the programme and so finding
the tool you need at the right time was difficult to get the hang off.
Added to this I had some difficulties using Blogger and laying it out in
a way that way that was suitable and appropriate for things to be
found easily, yet after looking at the various different features on the
pages I managed to lay the blog out suitably.
