3. Differences with front cover
The layout I have used for my
magazine involves ‘The Magic
C’ in order to make the layout
more effective aesthetically.
Furthermore I have
challenged this convention by
doing the ‘C’ backwards.
The image I have used for my
magazine is of a friendly
student smiling to give out
the message that the college
is a friendly place. Where as
in Men's Health they have
used a slim actor with a
serious face as well as pose
to suggest the magazine
involves serious topics
My cover lines are to do with
the students interests which
links to their cover liens and
in Men’s Health the cover
lines are aimed at a common
activity and social life

to the text
I used Adobe Photoshop to create the majority of my front cover
as it has exclusive features compared to other software's which
allows me to obtain a professional finish. I used the FX tool to
make the text look more appealing to the target audience rather
than have it in a plain font as it gave me many options to create
shadows and overlays all of which I controlled at a level to create
the text I now have upon the front cover. I also had to remove the
red eye produced from the camera via Photoshop and it also
allowed me to adjust the image in terms of brightness and effects.
