2. - Main task: students to produce the front
page, contents page and double page spread of a new
music magazine.
- All images and text used must be original,
produced by the candidate, minimum of four
images per candidate.
3. In these three music magazine covers, my initial opinion is that the main image is
dominant and clear portraying the authorial intent which is music.
The colours used for the masthead are light colours, they are big in size and are
generally behind the main image as the title should be well known.
The strap lines are both on the left and the right hand side, and are two colours, I like
this because it creates diversity.
4. I have chosen these front covers because they stand out to me, it is clear it is a
contents page due to the layout. There is much more text here than on the front
cover, it is also smaller in font and more formal for instance here it is black or
white. The image is strong, and is the focal point. The colours are very simple and
plain and so isn't over crowded and cluttered.
5. I like these articles because they are colourful and
look very professional. The use of theme in each
articles for instance the pink and black running
throughout the NICKI MINAJ magazine and the
black, white and red in the magazine featuring
Lilly Allen is consistent. The title clearly states the
type of magazine and what the article to point and
so is straight forward. The text is small in font and
so there the subtitles categorise the text while
breaking it up so if you wanted to skim read it is
possible, this is a good aspect.
