1. HOW BABIES ARE BORN. PART 1.

2. Human reproduction includes two sexual cells:
the male cell, which is the sperm and the
female cell, which is the ovum.

3. The ovum travels from the ovary to the
Fallopian tube.

4. The sexual intercourse takes place and
the sperm is released through the penis.

5. Then, sperm swim to the Fallopian tube. Onle one
sperm can reach the ovum.

7. Then, fertilization takes
place. Fertilization is the
union of an ovum or egg
and a sperm.

8. Soon after, the fertilized ovum travels to the
uterus.

9. The fertilized egg starts to divide many
times. It is called a ZYGOTE.

10. This is a real zygote.

11. Then, the zygote turns into an EMBRYO.
The embryo sticks to the uterus and
develops.

12. At eight weeks, the embryo becomes/turns into a
FOETUS.

13. This is the amniotic
sac. The foetus is
surrounded by the
amniotic liquid that
protects him from hit.

14. The foetus grows and develops. The organs also
grow. The foetus receives the nutrients and
oxygen through the umbilical cord.

15. DON'T BE AFRAID! The baby is not suffering. It only has the
umbilical cord around its neck. However, when it is born,
doctors must be especially careful with this.

16. Nine months after fertilization, birth
takes place.
