The document discusses various technologies used at different stages of a project. GarageBand was used to create a radio advert by recording a voiceover over music. Photoshop was used to edit images by adjusting brightness, contrast, and exposure to make images more abstract and colorful for a newspaper advert. iMovie was used to make a fashion documentary by editing footage, adding a voiceover and music. Publisher was used to design the newspaper advert and floor plan by using text and shapes. YouTube was used to upload and embed video content created in iMovie and other software. Prezi and SlideShare were used to create and upload presentations, while Weebly allowed arranging content and embedding videos, images, and text on a website.
4. Weebly
Using tabs in this
side bar, I was able
to arrange my site
and include Youtube
links, Embed codes,
pictures and text,
and also to sort into
columns.
5. Prezi
Using Prezi, I was able
to create my second
evaluation question. I
added text and images
in different bubbles to
explain the stages of
my evaluation. I
organised the order
that the bubbles
would be shown and
added in arrows for
direction. I then
shared and
downloaded my Prezi
and uploaded it to my
Weebly page.
6. SlideShare
I used SlideShare to upload my
evaluation questions onto Weebly,
because they are in PowerPoint
format. I had to convert files into PDF
and then selected and uploaded them.
I then uploaded the file to Weebly
using an Embed code.
7. GarageBand
I used GarageBand to make my radio advert. I uploaded a music track, ‘Do I Wanna Know?’ to garage
band and then recorded my voice over it. I then cut down the music track to finish when the voiceover
stops. I then uploaded to SoundCloud, and then my Weebly page.
8. Adobe Photoshop
I used Adobe Photoshop to edit the
images used for my newspaper advert.
I opened the images in Photoshop and
edited the brightness, contrast and
exposure to make them more abstract
and colourful. I then layered the
images together to give the merged
effect that I wanted to create.
9. iMovie
I used iMovie to make my fashion and music documentary. Once I had cut my footage and fitted it
together, I recorded a voiceover of myself introducing the documentary, and put music to it to. I had to
chagne my music sound levels so that the voiceover and vox pops could be heard, and I overlapped the
voiceover and music. Towards the end of the documentary I had the overlap and fade out two songs to
merge together so there would be no sound gaps.
10. Publisher
I used Publisher to create my
newspaper advert ancillary product,
and the flat plan preparation to go
with it. I used text to annotate my
design and used different AutoShapes
to create what I wanted my newspaper
advert to look like. I represented the
merging clothes by using different
translucent shapes.
11. Youtube
I used YouTube to upload all of my
video related content. I took footage I
had produced in iMovie and exported
and uploaded them to YouTube. I then
took the YouTube web links for my
videos and embedded these on my
Weebly page. With videos not made on
iMovie, just took them and uploaded
them straight to Youtube and then
processed the file and linked them on
my Weebly.
