Thriller ideas for our AS media project

2. First idea - Rewind
• Starts with a gun being aimed (at someone)
• Rewind back to why it was happening
• Intro begins with lots of pictures of two girls stuck up on a wall with
someone tearing them down and scribbling out one of them. Then
begins to burn all the photos while talking to herself (second
persona)
• Two best friends are walking through the woods, the woman looks
like she is sneaking up on them – turns out to be a joke and they
sort of know each other
• She is led back to the one of the girls house where the woman
searches through her draws secretly and offers her the friend a
‘drink’
• Back to ‘intro’ with the woman dead
• Cross cut to and an FBI agent looking at pictures of woman dead

4. Second idea – The teaching
• Start with someone splashing water in their face
and trying to wake up
• Set in a school with a teacher who keeps
hallucinating with flashbacks (eg fires) and voices
talking to him
• Fire alarm goes off and he has a break down in
the middle of the class and locks the door
• Starts screaming at students
• Ends with police smashing through the door and
sirens going off

6. Third idea
• Set in a mental asylum and begins with a
patient stabbing their doctor with a needle.
• Screaming to other patients
• Slow motion of everyone in hospital getting
panicky

7. Fourth idea - Evolution
• Set in a big city
• A romantic meal between an innocent man and cold
blooded criminal woman (blind date)
• She pulls out a gun in the restaurant and shoots him while
saying ‘bye!’
• The theme of this is revenge however during the intro we
do not find out why
• Camera angles: low angle of her with the gun – shows
power and control; POV of her pointing the gun at him –
will show the danger and also the surrounding people
• Props: Gun – typical of thrillers; a tray of glasses that’s get
drops in the action and smashes (exaggerated sound of it)

8. Fifth idea – Last man standing
• Group of teenage boys playing hide and seek in
the middle of nowhere in a field
• All but one soon disappear – do not find out why
till the end
• Crazy woman’s children died in a fire, now has an
obsession with stealing children
• Camera shots: wide angle of the field to show
how deserted it is
• Crazy woman is wearing ripped burnt clothes –
indicating the fire that killed her children

9. Sixth idea - Iluzio
• Iluzio – illusion in Esperanto
• Teenage boy with an imaginary friend who influences
him to break laws
• Crimes included: stealing, drugs, assaults, guns
• His friends are extremely confused about what is
happening as they cannot see her. They confront him
and end up getting in a fight
• Locations: normal house to introduce and make it
realistic; forest to show she is causing distress to him;
shop to show the stealing; ‘drug house’ (Amy's attic);
boys bedroom; a park for the friends to socialise
