5. Potential plot 1 outline - Slasher
• 2 businessmen finish work
• Go to leave work together but males car wont work
• Decide to walk home together
• Constant shadows flash across camera, danger presented to audience but not
men.
• One of the men leaves the other to pee in the bushes around the corner
• After 5 minutes of not returning, second man investigates
• Goes around the corner, finds first man dad
• In a panic turns away, murderer wearing mask and presenting knife covers the
screen in a POV shot
• Screen blacks out to name of film
6. Potential Plot 2 – Home invasion
• 17 year old boy home alone for the weekend
• Phone rings in a typical horror way, audience expect villain but is only
teenagers parents
• Teenager resumes with watching TV
• Suddenly murderer appears from behind sofa and knocks teenager out,
screen switches to black
• A blurred focus shot opens to reveal a blurred picture of the murderer
• Shot changes to a high angle of teenager strapped down to table
• Murderer continues to kill boy in a ritualistic kind of way
• Final shot is a POV of the victim as the murderer swing an axe towards his
head
