your home’s performance
results and confirms the Title
24 HERS process is complete.
A verified report ensures your
HVAC is installed properly and
compliant to State of
California Energy Codes, and
is operating efficiently.
OVERVIEW

BASIC INFORMATION
The top section of the report outlines homeowner and project
details.
The left column outlines the homeowner information, Building
Department, permit number and system name.
The right side informs the homeowner of the installer, HERS Rater
and the date of verification.

PERFORMANCE RESULTS
Based on the test results this lets the Building Department know
that your HVAC unit passed the strict energy code requirements set
by the California Energy Commission (CEC).
A VERIFIED status means your home has passed those requirements.

TEST MEASUREMENTS
• Passing result is 60 CFM or less (green section)
• CFM = cubic feet per minute
• The black line is where your system measured
• Exceeds target by 22% means that you are 22%
more efficient than the standard – congrats!
DUCT
LEAKAGE
Ensures that central air ducts do
not leak. Testing includes
pressurizing the ducts &
measuring the amount of
escaped air.

TEST MEASUREMENTS
• Passing result is 0.58 CFM or less (green section)
• CFM = cubic feet per minute
• The black line is where your system measured
• Exceeds target by 36% means that your system fan
was more efficient than the Energy Code standard!
FAN
EFFICIENCY
Confirms the amount of power
drawn for the blower to move
the air through the ducting
system is not excessive to the
amount of air it can move.

• Passing result is 1,050 CFM or greater (black line)
• CFM = cubic feet per minute
• The green section is where your system measured
SYSTEM
AIRFLOW
Measures the amount of
airflow being drawn into the
return air duct across the
heating and/or cooling
coils. Too little will result in
inefficient heating and
cooling of your home’s air.

• The green section is where your system measured
REFRIGERANT
CHARGE
Verifies that the cooling system
was properly charged and contains
the correct amount of refrigerant
to operate at peak efficiency.

Verified information specific
to the cooling system in your
home.
HEATING SYSTEM
Verified information specific
to the heating system in your
home.

Each home has its own unique registration number. This registration number is registered
with the California Energy Commission and ensures the HERS process has been completed.
