2. ANGLE OF THE SHOOT
The brief of the shoot states to produce 10 Editorial Male Fashion images, to this
we decided to include the theme of ‘music’ & ‘rock and roll.’
The images will include two models, both with musical and modelling
backgrounds and with the styling, hair and make up we will produce images which
would be suitable for publishing in publications such as VICE, Q MAGAZINE, NME,
SHORTLIST, SLAVE, WONDERLAND, DAZED & CONFUSED. The images will attract
both males and females between the ages of 18-35.
The angle will aim to showcase young talent, good looking, rock and roll grunge
fashion in a tasteful way.
As a group we want to focus on emphasising the fashion, keeping it the main
focus point of the shoot.
The music theme is an attractive aesthetic which will tie together nicely with the
fashion making it very current to our target market.
6. PROPS
Fender Jaguar Guitar: To help convey the idea of stylish rock and roll
musicians
Fender Deluxe Amp + Jack Lead: Help make the photographs look
more realistic, and both models are comfortable and experienced
with the props again making the atmosphere realistic. Also the amp is
large and can be used as a prop to sit on to create different levels.
American Flag: Symbolise national/international iconic musical
personas.
Cigarettes: Connote a ‘rebellious’ sort of personas.
7. STYLING IDEAS
JAKE: Example outfit:
Jake will have swept
back quiff style hair,
wearing cool smart
casual more detailed
wear.
Camel coats are
timeless and appear to
make a come back
every autumn. The
shirt adds a smart feel
to it, but our model
Jake will be wearing
black skinny jeans
instead of smart
trousers. The hat adds
an edgy feel to the
outfit.
JOE: Example outfit:
Joe will channel a
more effortless ‘rock
and roll’ type of style.
Where the main point
of focus in the outfit is
the tasselled leather
jacket.
One of the outfits will
be VERY similar to the
photo, another will
include Joe wearing a
grey roll neck for a
more smarter look.
