 Developing a rich repertoire of behaviour
 Situational sensitivity
 A situation is not that important, your
perception of the situation is important
 Thinking on the feet about the fit
 Study of the consequences of a behavioural
response
 Relearning and reconfiguring the right
behaviour
 Realising that the environment or the
organisation will not change for you
 If you change, you shall be effective and
emerge as a winner
 Study business and organisational
requirements
 Changes your attitudes, habits, and needs as
per the environmental requirements
 They involve continuous unlearning and
learning
 They require sensitivity to one’s world
 They imply a better understanding of self
 They call for continuous renewal of knowledge,
attitudes, skills and habits
 They entail living in the present
 They also necessitate anticipating the future
 Flexibility involves eliciting a right response.
Adaptability entails changing oneself
 Flexibility is always needed. Adaptability is
required when flexibility ends
 Flexibility is needed for growth. Adaptability is
needed for survival
 Life is not linear, get ready for curves
 Bounce back from setbacks
 Be ready for twists and turns
 Recognise and accept transitions
 Get comfortable feeling uncomfortable
 Tenacity
