text. I want it on the left as this is
the page people will look at first.
4. 2) I decreased it in size so it could fit to one page and flipped it over so it
could be looking toward the text. When it was facing the other way the
I inserted my picture picture looked separated from the interview, here I fitted the content to
the frame but then the picture looked out of shape, so …
into InDesign…
3) I Fitted content to frame proportionally which allows me
to fill the whole frame but avoids the picture from looking
squashed or/and stretched out of shape. But then when observing the picture
the ‘artist’ looked bored, so I chose a
picture in which she looked less bored
but avoided it being too lively as the
theme of the interview is mainly of
her life.
5. As the mood of the interview is quite sad I wanted the picture
to be in black and white. InDesign is not the best place for
picture so instead I edited my picture in Photoshop.
Here you see the
steps I followed
to turn it to black
and white.
6. I wanted the contrast to be strong so that the
picture can have a stronger impression and below
you see how I went about this.
As you see to the right black and white
with a strong contrast can have a strong
effect, especially when speaking about
ones life.
7. I then exported the picture into InDesign and
followed the same procedure I did for the first
image.
