1. 1. Which tools did you use to complete the task and
describe how you used them to complete your self-portrait.
I used the quick selection tool
and the magic wand tool to
select my image so that I could
colour it and enhance it to make it cartoon like.
I also used the paint bucket tool to fill the sections with
one colour and this helps give the cartoon effect.
2. Were there any parts of the task/specific tools which you
found difficult and if so, what were they and why?

2. I didn’t really find the task/ tools difficult because I
frequently use Photoshop and iMacs at home so they are
very familiar. The only thing I found difficult was that I
didn’t use a mouse mat and this made it difficult to paint
round the subject because the table was slightly bumpy.
3. Finally, how successful were you in completing the given
brief and what improvements would you make next time.
I thought that I was fairly successful when creating a
“cartoon me” although to improve I would have went into
further detail in my hair and eyes so that it was a high
quality cartoon character.
