2. Fundamental
Projects
Bouncing Ball:
This was my first animation done in
Adobe After Effects. It
It briefly introduced me to the program
and helped me get familiar with the
buttons and screen that the animating
program had to offer.
4. Fundamental
Projects
Animating Shape and
Shape Modifiers:
With this assignment I
was able to explore even
more what I could do
with After Effects using
shapes. It allowed me to
become prepared in
animating my characters
that I would be using in
my Teaser.
5. Animating shapes and using modifiers also helped
me create my personal end bumper that would be
used at the end of my Teaser.
6. Fundamental
Projects
Ice Title:
This assignment gave me a more
complex view on using After
Effects and the different ways I
could animate. Originally in my
teaser I was going to use hands
appearing as if trapped and ice
but due to time constraint I
eliminated that shot. These
images were the final product of
the Ice title.
7. Final Project
Teaser
For the Final Project we
had create a beet sheet and
a production plan.
Although these aren't
graphic, I decided to put
these in my portfolio as
well because they really
helped my production
pipeline organized and it
made sure I met my
deadlines.
8. Final Project
Teaser
These images represent the
beginning of my Animatic/
Storyboard. I choose these
images because they really got
my idea across of what
direction I wanted to take
with my Teaser. It allowed me
to put my idea on paper and
pursue my vision. Creating a
animate also allowed me to
use my knowledge of
Premiere Pro that I was
learning simultaneously and
allowed me to further my skill.
9. Final Project
Teaser
These schematic images are the
first to represent the color
theme that my teaser would
have. It allowed me to play with
colors and give me a better
prediction of what my final
product look like.
10. Final Project
TeaserAlthough not sure if I would
finish on schedule. I made sure
the graphics I made for my
teaser were what I wanted to
portray through the screen.
Using Illustrator, After Effects
and Premier Pro, and
especially the techniques I
used in the fundamental
lessons such as wiggle, and the
bouncing ball really helped me
achieve the story I wanted to
convey. Probably the most
challenging thing was to
animate my characters.
11. At the beginning of every shot I would have to think through first on how
to go about animating the character walking and moving around. Over all
it was a great experience to learn how a movie is actually made and how
much time and work is put into shots that usually only last a few frames.
