2. Idea 1: A collection of recipes in the form of a sensorial experience
3. Idea 1: Description
• We visualize this idea as a book which provides a sensorial
experience to the users.
• It communicates to the users the look, form, smell of the ingredients.
• It could also be used to communicate the recipe.
• The book could eventually used as an archive to document
traditional family recipes.
5. Idea 2: Description
• The idea behind the product is to enable people replicate their
grandma’s recipes with the help of a monitor or guide.
• This product would have some sort of sensors which would translate
date of the taste of the dish in terms of some measures, like acidity
or basicity so that it could record what made the dish taste the way it
tasted and help users replicate it the next time.
• The product could have two functions namely record and direct.
• Voice controls could be used to direct a user making the recipe.
• These directions, would not be very rigid to facilitate one’s choice of
cooking something differently or making variations.
6. Idea 3: A service which provides you ingredients, recipes and facilitates
cooking these special family dishes
7. Idea 3: Description
• This service aims to facilitate the availability of ingredients which
would be used to make your grandma’s dish
• The method of cooking will be communicated by the means of the
app
9. Idea 4: Description
• The idea is basically a recipe book which comes with a tablet, which
can be ordered to pass on recipes through generations with the main
function of transliterating narrated recipes
• It transliterate your grandparents narratives and the steps how to
cook the dish, also on what you should pay attention
• The device will put that narrative in a proper form, which allows to
read it later on like a recipe
• The family can also add photos, ingredients, edit the transcription
etc. at any time.
• Another function will be an AUDIO GUIDE which playbacks the
recipe (so this item will be user-friendly for elder people and also
kids)
11. Idea 5: Description
• That idea is related on the problem you pointed out where it seems difficult to pass on
existing (hand-) written recipes because it takes time to rewrite it for another person.
• Basically it’s an App everybody within a family but also outside can be used
• It’s providing different functions:
• Write (you can add dishes by hand typing them)
• Scan (you can scan existing (also hand-written) recipes, a program will put it in a
proper form
• Transcribe (it is more or less the idea of the item above: transliterate narratives,
which are put in a proper form as well)
• The app is the database, you feed with those functions above.
• You will have different buttons, like EDIT (a recipe, add photos etc.), COOK (with
includes the audio-guide function) and also SEND (to pass on recipes very easily)
• The main use can be within a particular family but the advantage would be that it’s not
limited within that frame.
13. Idea 6: Desription
• The idea is to facilitate a communication and bridge the generation
gap by organizing workshops.
• These workshops could be organized by the school or some other
institution independently.
• Activities like cooking together, experimenting with family recipes or
making a dish from scratch will connect the newer generation with
the process of making some of their Grandmother's dishes they
enjoy and look forward to.
15. Idea 7: Breaking points
• The idea behind this book is really simple, it based on the concept of
a slam book.
• Children of a younger age really look forward to and enthusiastically
make and preserve slam books, which archive information about
their friends.
• Similarly they could be provided with a curated diy recipe book
which could facilitate the archiving of these recipes in a very special
way.
