Tutankhamun
• Museums all over the world hold the artifacts.
• Some of these countries are United Kingdom,
Soviet Union, United States, Canada, Japan, and
France.
• In San Francisco an exhibition was held in 2009

3. Who was King Tutankhamun ?
• Tutankhamun was a young pharaoh,
who took the throne at eight or nine
years of age.
• He ruled the throne for 9 years.

4. Tomb of King Tutankhamun
• The main attraction
is the tomb collection
of King Tutankhamun.
• He was buried in a
smaller tomb considering his
status.
• He died unexpectedly
before his royal tomb was
ready.
• For that reason he was
buried in a tomb for
someone else.

6. Pyramids in Egypt
• The Great Pyramid of Giza is the largest of
the 3 pyramids in Giza and the oldest one.
• It is the oldest of the Seven wonders of the
world.
• In ancient times Royal Pharoah where
buried in pyramids, along with their
servants and their treasures.

7. What was buried in the pyramids ?
• Inside the pyramids were buried
mummies, treasurers, food,
servants and other family members.
• Food and treasures are to be used
for the afterlife. This was their
believe.
• Family members and servants were
buried in different rooms from
the Pharoah's.
• The walls of the Pharoah's burial
room were painted with life events
of the Pharoah's past life.

8. What is a Sphinx ?
• The Sphinx may have been built to
guard the Pyramids of Giza.
• It was built facing east, facing the
sunrise every morning.
• It has a body of a lion and the head of
a King. It shows strength and power.
