straight without falling.
Controls movement, and coordination and can make your
movements work together smoothly.

In charge of those bodily functions that keeps us alive, such as
breathing, eating, and blood circulations.
It controls involuntary movements such as the beating of the heart,
digestion of food in the stomach.

• It may contracted by exposure to viruses that are transmitted by insects
such as mosquitoes and ticks or an offshoot of viruses from childhood
illnesses like mumps and measles.
• It causes the inflammation of the brain tissues and destroys nerve cells
which causes bleeding in the brain and lead to brain damage.
• A serious life-threatening condition.
9. A person having this illness will have:
fever, severe headaches, sensitive to light, vomiting, irritability, and convulsions.
For severe cases: encephalitis seizures, feels very weak, disoriented, problems
with visions, speech, hearing, and may experience paralysis in the face and body.
Exhibiting this symptoms should:
• Be brought to the hospital, and those with mild cases, they will be admitted and
given anti-inflammatory and lots of fluids.
• Severe cases: hospitalize for a longer time, and given powerful anti-inflammatory
and anticonvulsant medicines.

better without treatment.
11. Signs and symptoms are:
Having a same or resemblance of flu
At the onset, may experience headache, nausea, fever, and stiffness of the
neck.
MILD CASES: they gets better without treatment.
WITH BACTERIAL TYPE: they need to take antibiotics, with treatment in the
hospital.
12. Proper Care
1. Eat nutritious and right foods like prune juice, vegetables, meat,
eggs, grains, and fruits, and foods rich in Iron such as leafy green
vegetables, beef, and beans. Must have enough sleep and do
physical activities.
2. Wash your hands before and after eating, before and after using
toilet, and before and after handling foods.
3. Never share personal things like hairbrush, combs, towels with
other to ward off infections. Keep yourself clean and neat. Do not
share food and drinks with other people. So not eat or drinks
someone else’s plate or glass.
13. 4. Get at least 8 hours of sleep. Lack of sleep leads to poor
concentration on the next day.
5. Read as much as you can. It can stimulates brain’s functions
especially those area involved in imagination, and strengthens its ability
to absorb as much information as possible.
6. Involve yourself to different mentally challenging activities like
playing puzzles, playing games such as chess, scrabble, and even
computer games.
7. Listen to music. It enhances mental functioning and helps improve
mental focus.
8. Protect yourself from injury. Wear a helmet when riding a
motorcycle, bicycle, or even skateboards.
