• The student’s favorite is a “Lucky” carved out of a tree
stump, now on display in the Alumni Student Center. It is
tradition that at graduation, he is moved outside, and as
the students process to graduation they rub his head for
good luck.

CHOICE Scholarship The scholarship gives you the opportunity to go to TLU with the same
cost as UT-Austin or Texas A&M.
How it works!
Take the cost of attendance (COA) at TLU, subtract the COA at Texas
A&M-College Station or UT-Austin and give you the CHOICE
scholarship, equal to the difference!
Lutheran Advantage Scholarships Applicants should:
-List church affiliation on the admissions application.
-maintain a 2.5 GPA.
About the Scholarship:
-Awards for freshmen applicants range up to $14,500 per year.
-For transfer applicants, the range is up to $10,500 per year.
-The Lutheran Advantage Scholarship may not be combined with
academic distinction or academic honors scholarships, but may be
awarded in addition to performance and participation awards.
