This document discusses bronchial asthma and its treatment. Bronchial asthma is characterized by dyspnea, wheezing, and chest pain due to increased airway resistance. Triggers include dust, allergens, cold, infections, and drugs. Asthma is classified as either extrinsic or intrinsic. Extrinsic asthma occurs in early age in episodes, while intrinsic asthma occurs in middle age and is chronic. Anti-asthmatic agents are classified as bronchodilators, anti-inflammatory agents, mast cell stabilizers, leukotriene antagonists, and anti-IgE antibodies.
