Is there any repetition in the images you have collected?
Repeated colours/images styles/fonts/tone/mood
- The most common motif shared between the images is their use of bright colours and lighting to manipulate
the environment. By manipulating these factors to produce a certain effect, the editors can convey a particular
emotion to the audience, whether it be celebration or tension.
- The largest presence on the page usually belongs to the person or people posing for the central shot, the
surrounding articles and headings acting almost as accessories to complement their focus.
How will your mood board influence your final product?
- By showing me how most professional magazines are presented, I think I know enough to create at least a
presentable attempt.
- The various areas of the magazine can be based off of the ones in the mood board, replicating fonts or
colourations if necessary.
