1. Mission statement: Music Magazine
The name of my music magazine will be called ‘BEATZ’ as this reflects rap
and relates to rap music. It also has a fun, youthful urban feel to it which will
attract the reader. It is a magazine aimed at women to celebrate the success of
women’s rap as it is usually isolated as males are dominating the rap industry.
The magazine will be sold monthly to get the audience intrigued into what will
be on the next issue. It will be sold in many newsagents and music retailers such
as ‘HMV’ to grab the reader’s attention. The magazine will cost £2.50 as it is a
fairly reasonable price.
It will also allow reader to subscribe to the magazine by going on the website.

will also feature competitions in which the reader will be able to compete in
meeting their favourite artists which will allow them to become more involved
in the magazine.
The topics will feature advice from current artists and top fashion tips, as well
as articles and interviews featuring artist’s as well. This magazine promises to
deliver a vibrant, urban and youthful feel to my reader and promises to deliver
inspiration as well as entertainment. It also promises to new and updated
magazine aimed at females who have an interest in rap.
The values and beliefs of this magazine are to celebrate the success of women’s
rap and to help others become inspired.
The style of my magazine is fun, youthful, urban, formal and informal allowing
a mix of language for the reader.
The usual urban, confident, bubbly female in her twenties would be interested in
reading the magazine as they will feel that the magazine is for them. The type of
female who likes to show off her knowledge of rap and like to stand out from
the crowd.
