1. Origional Brief
We have been set the mission of producing a promotional package to promote a
brand new Horror film. Our promotional package must include three pieces of media;
a promotional trailer; film poster and film magazine front cover. To obtain
effectiveness and professionalism, the three pieces must share a clear symbiotic link
and common feel.
This promotional package will promote a film within the horror genre. We have
chosen this genre as we are largely interested in this genre and we love watching
horror movies as well and would like to explore the genre even further, especially
through creating our three pieces. We would like to challenge our knowledge of the
genre as horror fans and use this when developing our own pieces.
We will appeal to our audience by creating a trio of pieces that follow the
conventions of the horror genre, but also show originality and creativeness as well.
By exploring existing media texts which will enhance and further our knowledge with
the conventions of the genre as well as gaining familiarity also.
My partner and I are both excited in the creation of this project and are looking
forward to the outcome of this project in producing an effective and gripping
promotional media package. I will be working with Josh Naughton for this project.
