The name of the magazine will be called ‘BEATZ’ as the magazine is fun, vibrant, formal
and informal. It also expresses the genre of the magazine which is rap.
The magazine will be on sale monthly as the reader will intrigued to find out what is next in
the next issue, drawing them into the magazine.
The magazine will cost £2.50 and will be on sale in newsagents and magazine stores, for
example ‘HMV’.
The topics illustrated will include interviews with celebrities and articles, whereby the artists
are spoken about. The style will be fun, youthful and vibrant.
This magazine is aimed at 16-30 year olds as the magazine features rap. The personality of
the reader is fun, urban but yet sophisticated. They enjoy going out on a Saturday night and
having fun and most importantly, they enjoy listening to rap music as this expresses them.
They also enjoy going out shopping with their friends and spending a girly night in. their
favourite films include ‘8 mile’, ‘Step up 3D’ and ‘Make it happen’ as they can picture
themselves in it. Their favourite actors include Chris Brown, T.I, Justin Timberlake and
Jessica Biel, where most of them are also singers.
They enjoy reading hip-hop and rap magazines which reflect their personality. Their
favourite artists range from Eminem to Nicki Minaj which shows that both men and women
enjoy rap music. In their spare time, they enjoy reading the latest new on celebrities by going
on digital spy which shows that they are engaged to their media. They also enjoy looking at
magazines on the internet as it is quick as easy to do. But now they are looking for a
magazine that will express their true colours, one that makes them feel involved and
connected with the artists.
Their favourite magazines are ‘Vibe’ and ‘RAP-UP’ which feature the like of Lil Wayne,
Keri Hilson and Rick Ross.
The magazine promises to deliver a fun, full of life, youthful and vibrant feel (a new urban
magazine). The values and beliefs of the magazine is to celebrate the success of women’s rap
as it is now always talked about. Men dominate the rap genre. The person reading the
magazine would be women in her mid-teens to early thirties. There professional status is
employed and they are currently single, preparing for the perfect relationship with the perfect
man.
This magazine will appeal to my reader as it will include everything they want to read, for
example, ‘Interviewing Lovelle’, ‘Lovelles love life’, ‘The Dream for Nelly’, ‘Nicki Minaj’s
new collaboration with…,’ ‘The next step for Rick Ross’, ‘Drakes New Deal’.‘Lil Kim’s
fight back for fame’ and many more...
