3. Typography
• There are two texts that contain typography: The digipak and the
poster.
• Even though we have used different fonts on the texts the layout is
the same in the way of making sure Survivor is seen at the top of the
text. This makes the message consistent.
• The typography on both texts are consistent to the style which we
used. For the poster we used big bold texts consistent to boxing
posters. The typography on the digipak is consistent with that of
albums from the 70’s and 80’s.
4. Same imagery
• Of the texts displayed there are images such as the front of the
digipak that can be seen on all the texts.
• The front of the digipak is a screen grab from the music video
therefore there is already a link between the video and the album.
• This means there is a link from the story to the artists album.
• The image from the digipak is also used on the poster, in the centre
where it will be easily noticeable.
• This means that there is a link from the story through all the text
which links it all together.
5. Boxing
• There is a story of boxing through the video and this is linked with the
band as the band members are standing in a boxing poster.
• This links the band to the theme and makes the audience recognise
the story between the band, music video and printed texts.
6. The singer
• The singer is seen in all of the texts from the digipak to the video to
the poster.
• This creates the link between all the texts and because he is the
singer in the band people will recognise him in the posters which
means people will know it is by Survivor.
7. The disco ball
• We used the disco ball to convey stardom for the boxers
• We also used the disco ball to show the disco style performance by
the band therefore having a link between the performance and
narrative.
8. The digipak
• The digipak is linked heavily to the video.
• The shots from the digipak are all screen grabs from the music video.
• This causes a link between text and the video which will be
remembered when the audience see the album after the video or will
recognise scenes from the digipak in the video when seen.
