1. CREATION OF MY ARTISTS DIGIPAK

2. ARTIST IMAGE
• The main importance of a Digipak is the artist images (images of the
band) because this is what is going to sell the artists image and be the
recognisable relation to the buyers of their Album or Single.
• This is what represents and sells the artist and draws the
viewers/buyers attention.
• Therefore On my digipak I am going to contain an image of the band
whether it be studio shot or from the music video to relate to our track
as he bands ‘new single’.

3. BAND LOGO/ TITLE
• Having the bands logo or their artists name is important because this is how
the audience/buyers recognise the artist and s the name/logo what sells that
artist.
• Band logos or names are normally found on the spine of the digipak as it is
where they are most significant when the digipak is closed.

4. RELATION TO THE NEW SINGLE (OUR MUSIC
VIDEO)
• Because of us making a music video to a chosen track I
want to make my digipak not only relate to the tracks genre
but I also want it to relate to the music video that we are
creating.
• So therefore the digipak will have relations to the music
video by using things such as band images from the
creation of the music video or pictures from the music video,
or on set of the music video. Therefore the audience can
see the relation between the bands digipak and their new
‘track’

5. RECORD LABEL
• For our digipak we had to find a record label to represent the band
for the information that features on the back of the digipak.
• We chose Massacre Records as it related most to our genre as
they sign on Rock bands/artists which is the same genre of our
track.
• The style and the colours also represent the genre which will
therefore relate and look good on the artists digipak.

6. GENRE RELATED – THEME/COLOUR
• I am also going to make sure that my digipak relates to the genre by the use
of colour and theme using stereotypical colours to represent the ‘rock genre’
• Furthermore using use of images f the band and images from the music
video , again making sure that the pictures follow of with the digipaks theme
and making sure that it matches the genre. I also want to make sure that my
digipak not only relates back to the band and their music video but as well as
the bands website that I have created – Again through theme and colour.

7. Inside left -containing disc with image of

the disc – may or may not have the same
print over the disc also
Right – containing image and booklet of
lyrics and/or band images
Back – Containing track list,
Record labels and recording details
Spine – Containing artist
recognisable logo or name
Front – Containing recognisable
artist image or logo
