What are you currently doing to pursue your career in a chosen field?
I am studying Creative Media at York College. I am aiming to get a high grade so I can go onto a
job or further education with media.
What do you plan to do next in your chosen field?
I am undecided on my next chosen field yet; I am interested in either film production or graphic
design as I have knowledge and skills in both, and I enjoy them both too. It will either be
studying at University or having a job in either field.

University of York – Film and Television Production. Entry requirements are AAB (A-Levels) and
DDD (BTECs). Making films and our own projects and learning about all the camera, lights,
editing etc.
Leeds Becket University – Graphic Design. Entry requirements are 112 UCAS points. Learning
about graphic design and doing research to make our own projects.
University of Leeds – Digital Media. Entry requirements are ABB (A-Level). Learning about
different types of media and research.
What type of work experience will you need in the future?
Work experience that suits the area of media I am interested in, this is so it can help me in the
future for my job or university course so I can gain experience, so when I start a job I’m already
prepared.
What skills do I need to develop?
I need to be very creative with ideas in media to come up with, also I need to be knowledgeable
on IT skills and the different software's that are used including Photoshop, Canva, InDesign etc.
In 5 years time I will...
I would be finishing University which means I’d be 21 and I’d have a degree. Or if not, I’d be in a
job in the media sector. I am still undecided what field I want to do in my career, but most likely
graphic design, filmproduction etc.
