A multicultural person is emotionally committed to basic
unity of all human beings but at the same time he also
appreciates new cultural differences.

Living in a multicultural
society, even a cosmopolitan
city for that matter,may cause
a fear among individuals or
minority groups,that they may
lose original ethnic identities
or life style.

The possibility of social conflict
occur due to differences in
religious beliefs,and
practices,ethnic rituals or
certain ways of life that cause a
rift between two or more
groups.

16. Global challenges:
❏ Multiculturalism and plurality has brought with it a
number of challenges.
❏ Some of the challenges in accommodating everybody
and protecting vulnerable groups from racism,prejudices
and discrimination.
❏ Global challenges are present in Europe, America,Asia,
and certain countries.

between members of extreme muslims organization and
members of right wing fascist English Defense League.

18. Suggestions to overcome issues:
❏ Respect the other person’s point of view.
❏ Ask for frequent expansion on points that you are
unfamiliar with ,especially if they relate to cultural issues.
❏ Investigate the cultural norms of the other people.
❏ Confront cultural discrimination in the wok place and
show no tolerance for it.
