4. WHAT IS A LEADER?
 The person who leads or commands a
group,organisation or country
 Has a vision and leads the group towards a
common goal that needs to be achieved.

5. WHAT IS LEADERSHIP?
 Leadership is the ability to develop a vision that
motivates others to move towards with a passion
toward a common goal.
 Leadership is not about position, a title, or
status. it is about influence.

7. Clarity and commitment to goal:
A good leader is clear as well as
committed to achieve the goal.

8. Acceptability by followers:
A good leader has a unique charismatic element
in his personality that attracts and holds the
followers even blindly.

9. Effective communication:
While dealing with a large variety
of people at a time, a good leader exhibits
effective communication skills to
convey,convines and keep inspiring the
followers.

11. Inter-personal skills:
The leader converges the interest of
all the followers to the common interest of
achieving the predecided goal.

Achieving the goal being the ultimate target, a
good leader has to apply all the skills of a task
manager.

16. PERSUASIVE LEADERSHIP
 A persuasive leader engages his team
through cooperation, explains projects and
values,simulates,encourages,mobilizes his
resources consults for opinions and
suggestions.

17. AUTHORITATIVE LADERSHIP
 An authoritative leader(autocratic leader) is
self-committed, gives instruction.
 Does not consult staff, nor allowed to give
any input.

18. DELEGATIVE LEADERSHIP
 In this style, the leader allows the employees
to make the decisions.
 However the leader is still responsible for
the decision that are made.

19. DEMOCRATIC LEADERSHIP
 Also known as prescriptive style.
 Encourages staff to be a part of the decision
making.

20. SITUATIONAL LEADERSHIP
 A leader has to change his leadership style
depending upon the abilities of subordinates.
 A specific leadership style is not suitable to
subordinates with different abilities.
