•A transactional leader is someone who follows a
routine or set of rules. They focus more on sticking
to procedure to achieve results, rather than trying
new ideas or innovating.
•What is transactional leadership?
DIFFERENCE
•Transactional leaders only guide their team
towards established goals by clarifying role and
task requirements whereas transformational
leaders inspire followers to transcend their self
interests for the good of the organization.
•Transformational leadership is more strongly
correlated than transactional leadership with lower
turnover rate, higher productivity and higher
employee satisfaction.
•Like charisma it appears that transformational
leadership can be learned.
