2. WHAT WERE THE THOUGHTS BEHIND THE
DESIGN FOR MY COLLEGE MAGAZINE?
I designed my college magazine to have a light hearted
friendly feel making it compatible with my target
audience. I decided to use the picture of myself on the
front cover this is because I am relevant to the topic of
students so it does not seem alien are too far a stray from
the topic and primary focus. I used the title ‘College Life’
and the different sell line s as they were relevant and
would interest my target audience on a broad basis by
keeping them college themed. Such as the new learning
centre and time efficiency as well as a competition to
make people attract to the magazine if they were not
otherwise interested.
3. WHAT IS MY TARGET AUDIENCE AND HOW
DOES MY MAGAZINE APPEAL TO THEM?
My target audience is college students, preferably younger
within the age range 16-18. My magazine appeals to them
as it has appropriate topics to college so it appeals to the
mass of them and has a competition to attract people in
who ma not have been interested making them look at
other topics within.
4. WHAT THINGS HAVE I LEARNT ABOUT MAY
BLOG DOING THIS TASK?
The things that I have learnt about my blog is that a range of
different things can be posted on it using different
software's. For example I can upload my power points
and prezis to blogger. I also know how to write in a blog
format easier and also how to add pictures to my blog
along with being more familiar and comfortable with the
site.
5. HOW DID I EDIT MY IMAGES AND WHAT SKILLS
HAVE I LEARNED?
I edited my images using adobe Photoshop where I learned how to change
the light levels and contrast within the images giving them an overall
better look and professional feel. This helped lighten the image for use
and make it less sharp making text look better on top of this.
6. HOW WILL I USED THESE SKILLS IN MY MUSIC
MAGAZINE?
I will use these skills in the same where I will edit images so they will be
more appropriate for my magazine in ways previously mentioned.
7. AM I HAPPY WITH MY COLLEGE MAGAZINE?
I am happy with my college magazine on the basis that it was my first
attempt of anything of this nature. I feel although the magazine could
be more professional in it’s appearance but this is due to my lack of
design and Photoshop experience.
