Project Description:
Balance of Plant involving Cooling water system (Capacity: 9700m3/hr) for Blast Furnace 2 in a Turnkey
module. Project comprises refurbishment, reuse and augmentation of Brownfield facilities and Greenfield
installations.
Existing facilities are 2 Pump Houses with adjacent ECR building, 2 RCC Cooling Towers (3 cells each of
Capacity: 2666m3/hr and 900m3/hr each), Waste Water Treatment Plant for reuse of Gas Cleaning Plant (GCP)
circuit water (Capacity: 2300m3/hr, 2nos Thickeners / HRSCC of 40m diameter), Ventilation Room
(120,000 m3/hr Centrifugal Fan), Soft Water Tanks (RCC), Industrial Water Tanks (RCC), Emergency Overhead
Tank (MS), Underground Pipe Tunnel, Underground Cable Trench.
Greenfield installations consisted of 2 Pump Houses, 2 RCC Cooling Towers (1 cell & 2 cell each of Capacity:
200m3/hr and 1810m3/hr each), Heat Exchanger Room (4 Plate Type Heat Exchanger), Ventilation Room
(40000 CMH Centrifugal Fan), ClO2 Preparation Unit, ECR building, Transformer Room, Soft Water Tanks (RCC),
Industrial Water Tanks (RCC).
Achievements:
 Attended 25-30 inspection Review meetings at M.N.Dastur (Kolkata) for inspection clearance of all
equipment and few structural items.
 Carried out procurement process of mechanical items starting from preparation of Quality Assurance Plan
to dispatch clearance. (Mechanical Items included: Waste Water Treatment Plant, Side stream sand
filters (5m dia.), HVAC, Pumps (Horizontal & Vertical centrifugal), Chlorine dioxide - ClO2 Dosing System.)

2.  Conducted meetings with respective vendors for complete technical clarification.
 Carried out inspection and managed documents of HVAC for all premises including Pump Houses,

 Carried out technical evaluation of Waste Water Treatment Plant (Capacity: 2300m3/hr) for reuse of
Waste Water generated from circulation through Gas Cleaning Plant.
 Managed entire documentation and inspection clearance relating to Cooling Towers.
 Successfully carried out vendor follow-ups and chasing involving clarification of commented points and
negotiate with sub-vendors for advancing with the submission of documents as compliance in order to
meet the pre-shutdown supply schedule. (Important vendors included Kirloskar Brothers Ltd., Deltech
Controls, Anticorrosive Pumps, Flaktwoods).

Project Description:
Balance of Plant involving Cooling water system (Capacity: 389m3/hr) for Reheating Furnace in a Turnkey
module. A Greenfield project consisting of Pump House, RCC Cooling Tower (2 cell Capacity: 720m3/hr each),
Heat Exchanger Room (3 Plate Type Heat Exchanger), Soft water Plant (10m3/hr), Ventilation Room (80000 CMH
Centrifugal Fan), Soft Water Tanks (RCC), Industrial Water Tanks (RCC), Emergency Overhead Tank (353 m3 RCC),
Underground Pipe Tunnel (96 m).
Achievements:
 Successfully carried out inspection and testing of valves and other various equipments as per the MECON
approved QAP.
 Single headedly carried out internal audit onsite for the preparation of re-certification audit to the standard
ISO 9001:2008.
 Successfully carried out inspection of entire Ventilation System for Pump House .

Project Description:
Design, engineering, manufacture / fabrication, supply, transportation, unloading, storage, transportation to
site, erection, testing and commissioning of a new gas discharge / recovery system for each converter consisting
of ID Fan, Seal sump, Interconnecting gas piping, utility piping etc. for both the converters, including common
interconnecting piping, sump along its pump etc., termed as ID Fan Complex.
Achievements:
 Carried out inspection on grease lubrication system in M/s. Lincoln Helios Ltd. As per QAP and
successfully cleared the item from MECON based on the inspection witness report and review of other
relevant documents.
 Successfully carried out entire documentation and inspection clearance of Ventilation System for ECR
building.
