Work with quality, engineering, welding and manufacturing personnel
to ensure statistical process controls are in place to meet quality requirements.
Establish Total Cost of Quality (TQC) and defect metrics for both internal
weldment/manufacturing processes and external vendor processes that can be used to drive
2. continuous quality improvement teams and programs to improve quality.
Work with vendors who have quality process or quality systems deficiencies through the use of
the corrective action process and or continuous improvement programs to raise their standards
to meet EIC quality requirements.
Review engineering and customer requirements to create project specific quality plans and
process quality control plans for internal production and vendor production process to prevent
deviations and reduce inspection with the overall initiative to drive quality to the source.
Establish statistical techniques to improve capabilities and process controls on critical
operational processes.
Work with operational Process Improvement Teams to reduce cost of quality and defect rates.
Administer the company Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) process to ensure that all product
failures have been thoroughly investigated, analyzed and corrective actions and ongoing process
control systems have been implemented to eliminate repeat failures.
Reviewed customer specifications to create quality plans.
Understand the product, engineering and process procedures to create quality control plans to
prevent deviations and reduce inspection with the overall initiative to drive quality to the source.
Work on project teams as assigned.
Worked closely with manufacturing engineering and operational personnel, conduct process
capability studies, recommend improvements based upon process analysis in order to optimized
manufacturing processes.
Assisted in all customer and corporate audits as needed.
Was required to assume supervisory or managerial responsibilities.
Maintain proper staffing levels for efficient company operations to communicate to subordinate
managers and staff in proper detail the tasks and goals for them to accomplish.
Provided training, coaching, development, accountability and made employment decisions.
Review and evaluate on a periodic basis subordinates and staff for performance and attainment
of goals and tasks.
