SKILL ENHANCEMENT SCHEDULES
Seminars Attended:
Workshop on Robotics.
IEC 17025 training at KEC.
Academic Projects Executed:
Title : Milling Attachment on Lathe Machine.
Description : Objective was to build an attachment through which milling operation on a lathe machine
could be performed. The purpose was to eliminate the use of milling machine for fabrication of spur gears thus
saving the capital investment.
Title : Modification and Fabrication of Vortex Tube.
Description : Vortex tube is a device which gives refrigerating as well as heating effect from a simple tube
by flowing compressed air through it. The purpose of the project was to modify and develop a vortex tube to
increase its efficiency. That was achieved by doing modifications in nozzle to reduce eddy current losses in
flowing air inside the tube. Additionally a diffuser was made in such a pattern that it would help the whirling
moment to initiate the vortex effect. Further more the ball valve was modified so that it could be used for
optimum flow of energy.
Won 3rd prize in the state level competition for the project ‘Modification & Fabrication of Vortex
Tube.’
