SPEED AND DELAY
Traffic moving from NMDC to Tolichowki experiences delay at
three major intersections.
Humayun Nagar to Rethibowli stretch experiences significant
amount of delays, predominantly, due to the one-way stretch
from Meraj-café to Mehdipatnam bus terminal area
experiencing unregulated IPT parking and road side
encroachments.

ISSUES
1. Fruit vendors and street hawkers around the bus stop
causing difficults for bus drivers and causes accidents
and clusture
2. spread of autos near bus stop area
3. inadequate bus stands
4. no bus bays
5. no proper segregation of main road and bus stop
6. no proper shade, no signage's ( lack of clarity in
passengers )
7. other attracted activities due to bus stop public, no
proper pathways, INAPPROPRIATE washroom facility.
Bus U-turns
Currently this unsafe operation occurs at pillar-3
and Pillar-23, allowing 1554 and 675 bus trips
respectively on a daily basis. .
The land uses present in and around the terminal are major
generators of heavy pedestrians demand such as bus terminal,
Rythu Bazaar etc. This area either lacks pedestrian facilities or is
encountered by road side vendor constant effort of occupying
every bit of the developed pedestrian facilities.

04.UNIFORMITY OF ROADS
There are many bottle neck roads in mehdipatnam near main
junctions like piller no. 4 were buses take U-turn, near starting of
rythu bazaar, etc due to which traffic get con jested near these
areas and rest all other areas getting effected.
UNIFORMITY OF ROADS CAN IMOROVE:
 Free flow of traffic
 Avoids congestion of traffic at one place
 Can help in reducing pollution as less vehicles withstand on standby
mode.
 Delay time can be reduces while travelling.
TOTAL AREA THAT GO IN UNIFORMITY OF ROAD IS :
N
Company Logo
For bus stop main problem is organization and segregation from the
main traffic.
And also the major problem in this area is the PEDESTRIAN CROSSING
with a signal at every 10min interval which halts the traffic ad this is
effecting all other adjacent signals.
FOR THIS THE BUS STOP IS DIVIDE INTO 3 LEVELS : flyover,
ground and subway.
IN THESE LEVEL THE BUSES ARE DISTRIBUTED
ACCORDING TO THEIR ROUTES.
THE PEDESTRIAN CROSSING IS PROVIDED IN SUBWAY, SO
THAT THE PEDESTRIAN DONOT MEET WITH TRAFFIC AND IN
RETURN THEY WILL NOT HALT THE TRAFFIC ON GROUND
04.BUS STOP REDEVELOPMENT
N
SOLUTION
Company Logo
BUS STOP PROPOSAL
At present there is a need of 12-14 bus stands, but for future need,
redesign bus stop is provided with 24 bus stands divided in three
levels encouraging more use of public transport and efficiency of buses.
with this we can achieve:
 PROPER DISTRIBUTION
 PROPER ORGANISATION
 PROPER SEGREGATION OF BUSES AND PASSANGERS
 MORE CLEARITY IN PASSANGERS AND BUS DRIVERS.
N
Company Logo
04.RYTHU BAZAR REDEVELOPMENT
MAIN PROBLEM OF RYTHU BAZAR IS THE ENTRY POINT. Lack of
facilities and organization causes the bazaar to function inappropriately.
REASON FOR LOCATION OF RYTHU BAZAR ON THE MAIN ROAD:
 Ease in accessibility from the bus top area and also to the people in transit.
 Land provided by Government.
 Major part in IMAGIBILTY OF MEHDIPATNAM.
 More public is attracted because of its location.
N
SOLUTION
TO CONNECT RYTHU BAZAR WITH THE SUBWAY BUS STOP, RYTHU
BAZAR IS DIVIDED INTO 2 LEVELS:
 1.FRUIT MARKET ON THE GROUND FLOOR OCCUPING 50% OF THE
AREA AND LEFT 50% IS USED FOR SERVICES LIKE service entry,
loading and unloading areas, storage, waste disposal, compost unit,
office, parking for service vehicles, washrooms etc.
 2.VEGETABLE MARKET COVERING WHOLE SITE AREA
CONNECTED WITH SUBWAY BUS STOP PROVIDING EASE FOR
BUS STOP PEOPLE (as 40% of people visiting rythu bazar is from bus
stop.
AREA 4009 sqm
AREA 6029 sqm
Company Logo
N
There are other factors where Rythu bazaar contributes are like Vendors on street, commercial stores, hotels etc that can get profit because
of the presence of rythubazar and bus stop.
Company LogoMany buildings in Mehdipatnam are of 20-30years of age, and also
some of the residential building is of 10-15yrs of age, as it is important to
known the age of the buildings.
SO THERE IS NO POINT IN DEMOLISING THESE FIR BUILDINGS
CREATING A VACANT LAND AND DESIGNING.
DEMOLISING THE WEAK BUILDINGS AND CREATING NEW ONES SO
THAUTURE IF THE BUILDING WHICH ARE FIT NOW GET DEMOLISED
THAN THAT CAN FORM AN INTEGRATED PART.
There are bunch
commercial activities
beside rythu bazaar
which are having poor
infrastructure/buildings
were activities like
clothing stores, footwear
stores, meat shops etc
takes place.
04.COMMERCIAL AREA ALONG WITH REST OTHER AREAS
THE COMMERCIAL AREA PLOTS AREA AMALGAMATED AND BUILT
INTO A BUILDING OF 5 FLOORS SO THAT THEY CAN GET MORE
AREA THAN THEY WERE HAVING NOW AT PRESENT AND MORE
ORGANISED SHOPS.

04.COMMERCIAL AREA ALONG WITH REST OTHER AREAS
ENTRY TO THE COMMERCIAL AREAS AND RYTHU BAZAR IS
FROM THE SAME POINT.
N
Company LogoMehdipatnam has a mixed land use character and many buildings that has mixed
land use in it.
04. RESIDENCIAL BUILDINGS AND MIXEDBUILDINGS
THE BUILDING OF 25-35 YEARS OF AGE ARE DEMOLISHED AND REBUILT IN MIXED
LAND USE FORM.
WHERE COMMERCIAL ON THE GROUND AND RESIDENTIAL ABOVE WITH
SEGREGATED ENTRIES AND PROVIDING BETTER AND SECURED ENVIRONMENT
FOR RESIDENTIAL AREAS.
ONE OF THE MAJOR PROBLEM IN RESIDENTIAL AREAS IS THAT THE AREA IS ALL
AROUND COVERED WITH ROADS AS IN RESULT THEY EXPERIENCE ALOT OF

  • 41. Company Logo For bus stop main problem is organization and segregation from the main traffic. And also the major problem in this area is the PEDESTRIAN CROSSING with a signal at every 10min interval which halts the traffic ad this is effecting all other adjacent signals. FOR THIS THE BUS STOP IS DIVIDE INTO 3 LEVELS : flyover, ground and subway. IN THESE LEVEL THE BUSES ARE DISTRIBUTED ACCORDING TO THEIR ROUTES. THE PEDESTRIAN CROSSING IS PROVIDED IN SUBWAY, SO THAT THE PEDESTRIAN DONOT MEET WITH TRAFFIC AND IN RETURN THEY WILL NOT HALT THE TRAFFIC ON GROUND 04.BUS STOP REDEVELOPMENT N SOLUTION
  • 42. Company Logo BUS STOP PROPOSAL At present there is a need of 12-14 bus stands, but for future need, redesign bus stop is provided with 24 bus stands divided in three levels encouraging more use of public transport and efficiency of buses. with this we can achieve:  PROPER DISTRIBUTION  PROPER ORGANISATION  PROPER SEGREGATION OF BUSES AND PASSANGERS  MORE CLEARITY IN PASSANGERS AND BUS DRIVERS. • 43. Company Logo 04.RYTHU BAZAR REDEVELOPMENT MAIN PROBLEM OF RYTHU BAZAR IS THE ENTRY POINT. Lack of facilities and organization causes the bazaar to function inappropriately. REASON FOR LOCATION OF RYTHU BAZAR ON THE MAIN ROAD:  Ease in accessibility from the bus top area and also to the people in transit.  Land provided by Government.  Major part in IMAGIBILTY OF MEHDIPATNAM.  More public is attracted because of its location. N SOLUTION TO CONNECT RYTHU BAZAR WITH THE SUBWAY BUS STOP, RYTHU BAZAR IS DIVIDED INTO 2 LEVELS:  1.FRUIT MARKET ON THE GROUND FLOOR OCCUPING 50% OF THE AREA AND LEFT 50% IS USED FOR SERVICES LIKE service entry, loading and unloading areas, storage, waste disposal, compost unit, office, parking for service vehicles, washrooms etc.  2.VEGETABLE MARKET COVERING WHOLE SITE AREA CONNECTED WITH SUBWAY BUS STOP PROVIDING EASE FOR BUS STOP PEOPLE (as 40% of people visiting rythu bazar is from bus stop. • 45. Company LogoMany buildings in Mehdipatnam are of 20-30years of age, and also some of the residential building is of 10-15yrs of age, as it is important to known the age of the buildings. SO THERE IS NO POINT IN DEMOLISING THESE FIR BUILDINGS CREATING A VACANT LAND AND DESIGNING. DEMOLISING THE WEAK BUILDINGS AND CREATING NEW ONES SO THAUTURE IF THE BUILDING WHICH ARE FIT NOW GET DEMOLISED THAN THAT CAN FORM AN INTEGRATED PART. There are bunch commercial activities beside rythu bazaar which are having poor infrastructure/buildings were activities like clothing stores, footwear stores, meat shops etc takes place. 04.COMMERCIAL AREA ALONG WITH REST OTHER AREAS THE COMMERCIAL AREA PLOTS AREA AMALGAMATED AND BUILT INTO A BUILDING OF 5 FLOORS SO THAT THEY CAN GET MORE AREA THAN THEY WERE HAVING NOW AT PRESENT AND MORE ORGANISED SHOPS.  2 HOSTELS  FOOTWEAR STORES  HOTELS  CLOTHING STORES  MEAT STORES  GODOWN OF RYTHU BAZAR N
