This document discusses the topic of reduction in rainfall in different parts of India. It begins with an introduction and acknowledgements. It then discusses what precipitation is and how it occurs through dynamic and microphysical processes. The main causes of reduced rainfall in India are identified as lack of pollution control, destruction of forests, population growth, and poor water management. Suggested solutions include setting up more pollution control centers, using public transportation, passing laws against cutting trees, and celebrating tree planting festivals. The conclusion thanks teachers and others for their help with the project.
4. Acknowledgement
I would like to express my special thanks of gratitude to my teacher as well as our principal
(MR.B.BISWAALsir) who gave me the golden opportunity to do this wonderful project on the
topic (REDUCTION IN RAINFALL IN DIFFERENT PARTS OF INDIA ), which also helped
me in doing a lot of Research and i came to know about so many new things I am really
thankful to them.
Secondly i would also like to thank my parents and friends who helped me a lot in finalizing
this project within the limited time frame
5. What is precipitation or rain fall? and how it is is occurred?
Broadly, the processes of formation of precipitation may be divided inlto the
dynamic processes, concernied with the motions of air currents which give rise
to the general conditions for the formation of clouds and precipitation, and the
microphysical processes, concerned with the growth of the individual
particles from gas phase by condensation and from smaller cloud particles by
collision and coalescence. There is, of course, a strong interaction between the
two kinds of processes. The upward motions determine the rate of cooling due
to expansion and thus control the rate at which the microphysical processes
go on. The release of latent heat in condensation and the drag of the particles
formed affect the buoyant forces which determine the upward motion. While
dynamic processes are prerequisite to the microphysical ones, it is convenient
discuss the processes of particle growth first, and subsequently to turn to the
larger scale setting in which it occurs.
6. Reduction or scarcity of rainfall in different parts of India means that lack of rainfall due to
some natural or physical factors. The major factors for reduction of rainfall in different parts
of India 1. lack of proper awareness of controlling pollution as Delhi and Mumbai have the
highest pollution level, 2. Distruction of forest as in ancient India has covered about 74% of
land covered by forest but now the situation has changed as now India has about 30% - 40% of
area covered by forest. So, the reduction in rainfall which causes water scarcity in rural and
urban areas, which led to suffer of the lifes of the common people.
Reasons of reduction of rain fall:--
• The rain fall scarcity is mostly man made due to excess population growth and
mismanagement of water resources.
• • Lack of efficient water management and distribution of water between urban consumers,
the agriculture sector and industry. The government needs to enhance its investment in
technology and include all stakeholders at the planning level to ensure optimization of
existing resources.
• • Lack of on-time de-silting operations in large water bodies that can enhance water storage
capacity during monsoon. It is surprising that the governments at state levels has not taken
this up on priority as an annual practice. This act alone can significantly add to the water
storage levels. As if sufficient rain fall occurs then also it is not able to satisfy human needs.
7. oREDUCING OF POLLUTION BY SETUPING MORE
POLLUTION CHECKUP CENTRE.
oBY USING PUBLIC TRANSPORT RATHER THAN USING
PERSONAL VEHICLES.
oGOVERNMENT SHOULD PASS LAWS AGAINST CUTTING
OF TREES.
oCELEBRATING VANMAHOTSABHA BY PLANTING MORE
AND MORE TREES
