Performance
Performance videos are the easiest, cheapest, and the most simple
of music videos. They show the artist performing the song in front of
a background. One example is Foo Fighters-The pretender.
Narrative
This type of music video tells a story which often includes the artist.
It can either be related to the song or not. A narrative music video
may contain parts of a film it is from. A song with a narrative music
video is Calvin Harris ft. Example-We’ll be coming back.
2. Conceptual
These music videos are based on a concept or idea. They are hard to
do and are mainly done by using editing and special effects.
They are also more expensive to make. They are less popular as
they aren’t relatable. A Conceptual music video is Avicii-Levels.
Most videos have a bit of everything. This makes it interesting so
people are more likely to watch it. It also has a wide range of appeal
but is often expensive.
