WORK EXPERIENCE
Design & Stress Analysis for Boeing Test & Evaluation Feb 2014-Present
Location USA (Cyient INC.)
Title/Designation: Senior Design Engineer
Description:
The scope of the project includes the designing and performing stress analysis of the flight test
equipment which are to be installed on 737-MAX airplanes. Project also involved ensuring the
airworthiness of the production part, is not effected with the flight test part installation.
Job Duties
Involved in requirements gathering from client.
Exploring the installation location through IVT and coming up with the best possible design.
Involved in determining the load acting on the flight test parts supporting the flight test
equipment.
Preparation of the conceptual design and getting concurrence from all the stake holders.
Creation of 2D drawings and gathered the geometric and the material properties.
Creation of MBD’s, IRM’s / ARM’s thru ENOVIA LCA.
Performed the part strength, joint strength, fatigue and damage tolerance capability check
using hand calculations.
2. Analyzed axial, shear and bending capability of the structure while performing part strength
check.
Determined the bearing capability of the fastener.
Involved in the calculation of the number of cycles of aircraft for the cases which required
fatigue check to be performed which are affected due to the modification made to production
structure in-order to facilitate the installation of the flight test structure
Actively guided co-worker technically and led the offshore team, ensured evenly task
distribution and delivery on time.
Taken responsibility for delivering quality in ENOVIA satisfying all the FAR requirements
well before scheduled due date.
Post Production Engineering Recurring Work for Service Requests, India (Cyient Limited)
July 2011 – Jan 2014
Location USA (Cyient INC.)
Title/Designation: Design Engineer
Description:
The scope of the project includes the Damage Tolerance Assessment (DTA) of the repairs in
Service Requests of Boeing 727, 737 & 757 airplanes. This program is to address Service requests
raised by operator (SR) to comply with FAR Part 26.43 rule.
Job Duties
Involved in study of the repair accomplished in the aircraft.
Collected all the material and geometric data.
Studied the effect of the finishes performed.
Performed the analysis at the most critical location determined based on the load transferred.
The fatigue capability of the critical location was checked.
Evaluated the damage tolerance capability at the critical location and proposed the post repair
inspections.
Involved in determining the residual strength, inspection threshold and crack growth life to
arrive at post repair inspection methods and interval.
Performed analysis using fatigue loads and Boeing proprietary tools.
Ensured the repair performed meet all the FAR requirements and would not affect the
airworthiness of the aircraft.
Documented summary of the repair installed along with the analysis results and delivered the
quality product to the client through the common server “CASTLE”.
ACHIEVEMENTS
Played a key role in 737 MAX program in design, installation and stress analysis.
Recognized as “Distinguished Contributor” for the year 2014-2015 at Cyient INC.
Received “Pride at Boeing Award” from client four times from June 2014 through June
2015.
Received “Team of the Month Award” (December 2014) for dedication and commitment.
Received “Associate of the Month Award” (December 2013) for outstanding contribution,
dedication and commitment toward the project.
Successfully completed Cyient export compliance certification.
