ANALYSING THE RESULTS
OF OUR SURVEY
 More females
responded to our
survey than males, but
the general ratio of
men to women is close
enough and the
number of people who
answered (26) is high
enough to be able to
analyse and compare
the results of the
survey sufficiently.
QUESTION 1
 The proportion of the separate
range of ages of those who
answered our survey is a lot more
varied. Most people were 16<19
years old whereas nobody was
20<24 or 65+. However, we still got
responses from many different ages
which is useful as their answers are
likely to be contrary to each other
due to the youth being more
involved in technology and therefore
music videos, and the different
music tastes.
QUESTION 2
 From our survey, we
found that the most
popular reason for
watching music videos
was if it has a good
narrative. Some wanted
dancing, and generally
wanted something fun
that would make them
watch it again.
 There were also a few
people who don’t tend
to watch music videos.
These are most likely to
be the respondents at
the higher range of the
age chart, either
because it is a more
youthful thing to do, or
because they are too
busy working.
QUESTION
3
 The main conclusions
found from this
question were that
they thought the
smoke bombs will add
a cool effect to the
video and will make it
stand out.
 However, some people
also said that it is a
good idea if it matches
the narrative or if it
isn’t too overdone.
QUESTION
4
 The general response is
that the narrative of our
music video would appeal
to most people.
 Seeing as that 19.23% of
our respondents were aged
45<64 and only 11.54%
weren’t fans of the idea, it
means that our music video
appeals to those of older
ages as well as younger
people.
QUESTION 5
 Most people thought that
the singer should
perform in the studio as
well as during the
narrative – all except 3
people.
 Therefore it is clear that
the singer should
perform in the studio and
during the narrative as
this is what the audience
want to see.
QUESTION 6
 Most respondents
agreed that casual
clothing can help
show that an artist is
indie or organic..
 However, a few
thought that an
organic, indie artist
shouldn’t be styled
and should dress
individually in
whatever suits them,
which may be in crazy
outfits.
